cereal_killer has a new site called Memeit. net. And it works great. You can put your comment INSIDE a meme and whip back here and place it in a thread like this.....
7874859fd1c6cb019967f19aca35-WALTER%20CRONKITE.jpg

The problem now seems to come in here while the comment IS legit placing it IN the meme is seen as hate/trolling or fight picking.

How does its placement INSIDE a meme make it ANY different then just the comment "America takes it up the ass again".

Meme.net is a GREAT site folks, visit and use it please. But a ruling on content INSIDE a meme is needed.

There you go! Congrats. The meme does NOT change the message and DOES give the member the option to "upgrade" a thread with color.

Now how is the following changing anything?

How many times have YOU seen that as a comment? Does it cause any more harm to be in a meme? CK started that site to enhance THIS site. But SOME mods {no names} are striking out at meme's.

Why? CK spent HIS money and HIS time to build US another site to enhance HIS site here.

Seems to me if you made the meme --- or even if you didn't but just selected it -- and use it in a post, then the point in it belongs to the poster that posted it, same as if he/she had typed it out.

I'm not crazy about photo memes -- they're a convenient way to make a funny, but too many asshats find a pic of Hitler or Bush or O'bama or Lincoln and embed fake but serious-looking quotes in there that the subject never actually said, and the subject in the photo has no control over what they're being associated with.

But hell no you can't pass responsibility off to the image and go "that's the alcohol talking". That's a cop-out.

If the words in the Meme are not ban worthy and the Meme itself is not ban worthy how do 0+0=1?

As long content is NOT a threat and the pic is NOT porn what rule has been violated? None, and when the OWNER of THIS site builds THAT site to enhance THIS site then Meme's SHOULD be fine.
Misquotes? Do you EVER think a Meme quote is REAL?

Meme's are for fun, quotes need links.

The VERY least you could do is use the owners Meme site.
Here you go...

No. A picture with a quote implies an actual quote from the person shown.

Where did you find CKs place of memeit?
Browse - memeIt.net

He posted it here same forum as now. He has several sites.
Just look at the main skin and see the others. Funny thing is here he WANTS us to use and enjoy them ANYWHERE on any thread on any board ANYWHERE.

Take it to Facebook or Twitter. But to have those here trying to kill its use? It's a GIFT from HIM on HIS dime. USE IT! And thank him.

I agree with all of that.

But there's nothing new here except that the O&O of this site have launched a meme generator. It's not the first such generator. Posters have been already doing that.

It's a new toy for those who are too lazy to make meme's..like me. I can find what I need right there.

Thanks CK!

I will put it in real SIMPLE terms for you. You are on CK's site right now on HIS dime. How about you back the man who has been backing you?
