"More than capable, women consistently test better than men in training exercises. "I would recommend that women are put into fighter cockpits on the basis of performance," said Group Captain Chetan Bali, who heads up the faculty of flying at India's Air Force Academy."

"Combat skills are blind to rank, gender, race, color or creed,” retired Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula, a fighter pilot by training, told The Times. “They are based on performance, pure and simple.”

Gen. Deptula recalled: “During a major air combat training exercise, one of the opposing force flight leaders was a lieutenant colonel squadron commander who was very vocal that he did not like the idea of women fighter pilots. Subsequently in the exercise, he was ‘shot down’ by a young female lieutenant who was in my group.”"

"Women and men have argued for years over which sex are better drivers. Now, an Army study might add fuel to that fire as the stats indicate women may be better helicopter pilots.

Ten out of every 100 Army helicopter pilots are women — but they account for only 3 out of every 100 accidents, reported Time magazine.

The Army report – compiled by a student at the School of Advanced Military Studies at the Army’s Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. – compares accident rates of men and women flying Army helicopters from 2002 to 2013, in an effort to study the impact of women on the front lines."

Women are better at a lot of things males dont want to give them credit for. Their attention to detail is amazing. I dont know if this is genetic, environment or combination of the 2 but it is a fact.

" WASHINGTON — Late in the morning of the Tuesday that changed everything, Lt. Heather “Lucky” Penney was on a runway at Andrews Air Force Base and ready to fly. She had her hand on the throttle of an F-16 and she had her orders: Bring down United Airlines Flight 93. The day’s fourth hijacked airliner seemed to be hurtling toward Washington. Penney, one of the first two combat pilots in the air that morning, was told to stop it.

The one thing she didn’t have as she roared into the crystalline sky was live ammunition. Or missiles. Or anything at all to throw at a hostile aircraft.

Except her own plane. So that was the plan.

Because the surprise attacks were unfolding, in that innocent age, faster than they could arm war planes, Penney and her commanding officer went up to fly their jets straight into a Boeing 757.

“We wouldn’t be shooting it down. We’d be ramming the aircraft,” Penney recalls of her charge that day. “I would essentially be a kamikaze pilot.”"

"On April 7, 2003, the US Air Force’s 23rd Fighter Group stood ready as always when the call came in. Ground troops in Baghdad needed the massive and powerful close-air support that the A-10 “Warthog” fighters could deliver. Flying to their aid was fighter pilot, then Capt. Kim (Reed) Campbell, a veteran attack pilot who fellow airmen nicknamed “KC” for “Killer Chick.” The 28-year-old captain would save the day for those troops but nearly lose her aircraft, and her life, in the process. And, the battle to fly her Warthog home earned now Maj. Campbell the Distinguished Flying Cross (DFC).

Two questions.

Do they "pull G's" better than men" when they are on their periods.

Can they change tampons if need be on a 10 hour bombing mission?

oh brother please. i think the captains and generals etc.. are tired of raping hairy assed men so they want more pussy in the ranks? maybe they only let the very best women get that far so they appear better on average when the few up there aren't average women?

No one yet has been required to pick up a fighter plane and throw it across the tarmac so women can be just as good at being fighter pilots.

They are already promoting it in the name of diversity. But the facts are not as many women or minorities go into those types of training. Sadly others others more qualified my take the back seat in the name of diversity... But it's the airforce in another 4 years it will change back to the way it was due to the fact they aren't operating at a high tempo and can't get enough people to go into those fields.
