Are Americans to lazy for democracy?

Yes, no question.

The people are not interested in forcing the changes that are needed such as term limits, campaign finance reform, and universal healthcare.

That's not democracy you are talking about.

More support to my argument that we are dealing with ignorance.

Has it now become socially acceptable for Americans to be so lazy and irresponsible that they either don't vote at all or they don't bother educating themselves before they vote? A government by the people for the people? That means we have to vote to maintain a Democracy. If our country is a mess, all that means is that we, the people, didn't bother governing our own country.

You are right on... We are already past the breaking point... It is much easier to have someone else take care of you than you take care of yourself... The country is in a downward spiral that will never get better until people start taking responsibility for themselves... which may be never, especially when politicians keep promising that they will take car of you... We are heading for a Socialist government within the next 20 years... sad thing is the US citizen can't even see it coming and they won't until they do like you say and get educated on the candidates. It's much easier to listen to what ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, and Fox News tell you than to look it up for yourself.

2) Could be a good call, unless you try and do campaign reform changes the Obama way

Only the left is lazy.

Man, I disagree! The left is VERY hard-working, and very patient. They have taken over the education establishment in America over the past few decades, almost all the media, three-quarters of the government, most religious denominations...
