I just finished the first two episodes....crap....they are trying to catch up with the porn on cable..and wow..are the writers original or what.....SPOILER.....the Conservative Republican who is named with Nixon and Reagan....a closeted gay who was a boyfriend of manson.......what original writing....so....not worth the time.....

I watched it for the songs. Brought back some memories. As far as factual stuff....it's a bit much to swallow.

Au Contraire....DO NOT skip it.....I've seen the 10 of the 13 episodes (couchtuner got their hands on the whole season) and it's brilliant....Duchovny has the Midas touch....keep watching, you won't be disappointed. :wink_2:

it wont last.... 5 million aint enough for network TV.....
It was never meant to last. Thus why they released the whole season on demand.

Baffling....However NBC hasn't officially said there would be no season 2. I'm surprised they'd do this to Duchovny since he was a hot property after "Californication" ended...you'd think they'd have guaranteed him at least 2 seasons. He's doing a new limited edition "X-Files" with Gillian Anderson. Aquarius has a great cast other than the guy playing Manson...maybe that's the kiss of death...oh well. :uhoh3:

i hear ya....the guy playing manson is pretty dull.....

Finished watching all 13 episodes....this is strictly cable-fare....if NBC had any stones, they'd renew it but they don't....it's too dark, too ugly, too many bad memories for us Boomers and not enough tits and explosions for the 14-34 crowd.

Really total made up fantasy that never happened is too dark for you Boomers? Do tell.

Really, NBC won't renew a show that's dark and ugly? Have you watched Hannibal?

Are you saying a story must be real in order to be dark?

The commercials didn't pull me in so I didn't watch it, Thanks for the tipoff.

No I asked the Boomer to tell us about their made up memories.

Love him, the show? Jury is still out for me.

I'm on Episode 8. We are enjoying it - so, I hope they continue. It can be a bit erratic, dialogue a bit choppy, but nothing is perfect. It's entertaining, more than I can say for a lot of other programs out there...

NBC taketh away, and now NBC giveth.

Just days after axing Hannibal, the Peacock network has renewed its Thursday companion, Aquarius, for a second season.

RELATED2015 Renewal Scorecard: What’s Coming Back? What’s Getting Cancelled? What’s on the Bubble?

NBC raised eyebrows last month when it announced that it would release the David Duchovny-fronted period drama’s entire season online immediately following the airing of its premiere episode — the first broadcast series to do so. The experiment paid off, according to NBC entertainment president Jennifer Salke.

“It’s no secret that the way people watch television is evolving,” she said in a statement. “So we took a unique approach to how we delivered Aquarius and it’s driven some record numbers for NBC Digital and helped us reach viewers who might have otherwise overlooked a great summer drama.”

Aquarius‘ traditional ratings have been lukewarm. Last week’s episode attracted 5.8 million viewers and a 1.2 rating in adults 18-49.

I still don't watch Aquarius much and Hannibal is too scary. Their strategy of delivering Aquarius may be okay but a higher quality show will get ratings for the networks.
