One company, one revised product, and enough lemmings with credit left or who have enough relatives w/money left, to purchase it.
    Hardly, a macroscopic economic indicator....sheesh...

The best run and most popular consumer electronics company. Hardly just any company.

I'd agree that Apple is not indicative of the American consumer, other than the consumer is not in a Depression.

Apple makes nifty cool products that consumers love.

All companies are yielding high profits, so why aren't they hiring.

It is all a numbers game. The reality is that the economy is collapsing.

The economy is about to boom. This is a sociology question not an overall economics question. The unskilled are the ones long term unemployed.
An economic boom is not saving them, unskilled jobs have been fast tracked to India, China, Argentina and Malaysia.
Unemployed better go to votec or college or the train will run over them.

Don't worry, maybe the Obama administration can do something about that.
