The recession that ended three years ago this summer has been followed by the feeblest economic recovery since the Great Depression. Since World War II, 10 U.S. recessions have been followed by a recovery that lasted at least three years. An Associated Press analysis shows that by just about any measure, the one that began in June 2009 is the weakest. The ugliness goes well beyond unemployment, which at 8.3 percent is the highest this long after a recession ended.

AP: US Economic 'Recovery' Weakest Since Great Depression - Guy Benson

Just to reiterate what everyone already knows.

Get rid of Obama ,illegals ,and the freeloaders and we will recover...and put some common sense in d.c and there is hope, otherwise this country is doomed.....

This is from the original article, but was not included in the OP:

Government spending and investment at the federal, state and local levels was 4.5 percent lower in the second quarter than three years earlier.

Three years into previous postwar recoveries, government spending had risen an average 12.5 percent. In the first three years after the 1981-82 recession, during President Ronald Reagan's first term, the economy got a jolt from a 15 percent increase in government spending and investment. This time, state and local governments have been slashing spending — and jobs. And since passing President Barack Obama's $862 billion stimulus package in 2009, a divided Congress has been reluctant to try to help the economy with federal spending programs. Trying to contain the $11.1 trillion federal debt has been a higher priority.

Since June 2009, governments at all levels have slashed 642,000 jobs, the only time government employment has fallen in the three years after a recession. This long after the 1973-74 recession, by contrast, governments had added more than 1 million jobs.

Tip of the Hat to Keynes!!

Facts sure scared the shit out of the right wing bull shitters.

Libs have the deck stacked. While the US is at a economic weak point in history the radicals pounce with a neo-socialist agenda that calls for freaking windmills. Oil is poison according to the democrat senate majority leader and the president tells ignorant union educated Americans that a substitute for oil is right around the corner while he is selling America's future to oil producing countries.

I would have been much better if the republicans had not done EVERYTHING they could to stop the recovery

And the recovery will continue to be very weak at BEST.
We have shipped too many jobs offshore for a consumer spending driven economy to prosper.

the economy is going pretty much as I predicted in 2006 that it would.

"The essence of the Liberal outlook lies not in what opinions are held, but in how they are held: instead of being held dogmatically, they are held tentatively, and with a consciousness that new evidence may at any moment lead to their abandonment." -Bertrand Russell

This of course is purely idiotic since there is no new evidence about political issues. It is merely an excuse for being stupid, liberal , and not having an opinion you are willing to stand behind.

"Nine tenths of the activities of modern government are harmful. Therefore the worse they are performed the better." -Bertrand Russell

"Most human beings, though in varying degrees, desire to control not only their own lives but also the lives of others".( Bertrand Russell on the essence of big government liberalism)

"The State is a collection of officials, different for different purposes, drawing comfortable incomes so long as the status quo is preserved. The only alteration they are likely to desire in the status quo is an increase of bureaucracy and of the power of the state." Bertrand Russell- on the nature of the liberal state

"The modern liberal will be so stupid as to not know the Bertrand Russell was not a liberal using todays definitions!!"-Edward Baiamonte

So no comment on the effect of buying much of our stuff from China instead of producing it here?

It is all just the debt?

you get richer when you buy at the lower Chinese price. Does the idiot liberal want a law that we must buy at the higest rather than the lowest price?
