2010 NCAA College Football Polls and Rankings for Week 6 - ESPN

Surprises?

Oregon jumped Boise St. Finally! I think Boise St.'s hopes for a NC are diminishing each week as the voters realize that their only claim is that they beat Virginia Tech, who clearly is not what they were built up to be in the preseason.

Arkansas is ranked ahead of an unbeaten LSU. Not only that, we JUMPED LSU who won their game when we did not even play. It makes sense, because LSU's offense is clearly shit. But usually the voters HATE Arkansas and LOVE LSU. I guess since we came so close to toppling Alabama and Florida got their asses handed to them, we finally get some credit.

USC, Texas, and Penn St are all out of the rankings. That makes me very happy.

Anytime Penn State is out of the rankings it's party time for me! :eusa_dance:

AH, I see Penn St is your Notre Dame. I hate them bastards.

Also Jon, I'm sure that Bama completely dismantling Florida went a long way in jumping us four spots even though we were off this week.

That, and Florida, Wisconsin, and Stanford losing horribly, and LSU looking like complete shit in spite of their win.

I really think we can win the rest. I see Bama going undefeated and playing South Carolina in the SECCG , where they will win and we will get the SEC's 2nd BCS game.

That's why I'm banking on. All my friends were saying that if Bama lost to Florida, they could lose another game and we could still make the SEC Championship and maybe even the NC if Ohio St or Oregon lose a game. I'm just being realistic. Our shot at the NC went out the door last week. My eyes are on the BCS. IF somehow Alabama loses a couple of games and we win the west, they would be fantastic, and I have seen crazier things in college football.

Alabama will NOT lose a couple games. That won't happen. They are THAT good. They may not lose A game.

A BCS bid is possible as long as they get that tendency to melt down in the 4th fixed. Those were two ugly 4th quarters in back to back games, mostly but not entirely because of mistakes Mallett made and it concerns me. The D wasn't as consistent as I'd like to see it for a BCS run either. But it's definitely possible.

All real concerns. I think MOST of it could be fixed by two things

A) Petrino needs to stop getting conservative when ahead at the half
B) Petrino needs to stop trying to make Broderick Green or feature back.

A few years ago, Arkansas was the team that would come back and win in the fourth quarter (Miracle on Markham, for example). Lately, we're the team to breakdown in the fourth. I agree, it's got to be fixed. Saban exploited this weakness, and if we don't get it in check, other coaches will do the same.

Is there any better reason for a BCS playoff than Boise State?

There is no way under the current system for them to qualify for the championship

There's too much money in each Bowl to have Universities just give up like that. If a playoff system is put in place, I think every round has to have a a major sponsor or the universities won't go for it.

Viagra "Best 8"
Trojan Condom "Final Four"
Masengill Disposable Douche "Championship Game"

Something like that with dedicated money for each round.

It is not any worse than the names they have of bowls right now

your next lost is just around the corner AR-Kansas

Haha, you wish. Don't be bitter because your team is a giant clusterfuck this year. Listening to the guys on ESPN talk about how awful LSU's offense is was hilarious. You guys rate 83rd in total offense. We are 43, and that includes a bye week.

Florida, Auburn, Alabama, and Arkansas are all going to have their way with you this year. Get ready for it.
