Then you have what is called a selective memory. I for one was saying it would not only NOT lower cost but would end up raising them in the short term. I also said it would cost more than they were saying.

Costs for the Dem's Health Care debacle are going to be much worse than advertised. I go with Ron Paul on this stuff. He's been in Congress for a long time and he has said that he's never seen any spending bill that has cost what they originally stated it would cost. The Democrats are just being incredibly dishonest on this. Health Care costs are actually going to go up with their debacle. It really is very sad. Time to repeal at least some of their mess. Gotta get the power back first though. Get out and vote. Make 2010 count America.

First of all, I don't know who "Polise" is.

Secondly, I don't really have an opinion as to whether she's going to keep her speakership - I think it's pretty unlikely that she'll lose it, but it's possible she will.

My post was talking about Rabbit's prediction that DeMint will become the majority leader - which is about as likely as Ron Paul becoming the next speaker of the house.

I would have liked to see someone else voted Speaker in place of Pelosi, but another Democrat--one more likely to play fair. Boehner will get it when Republicans take the House, so let's see how far he gets and watch as his own popularity starts dropping several percentage points per month. Republicans won't have enough votes to do squat, other than put a hold on health care reform financing. We're really looking at a lame duck midterm, folks, all the way around while both parties gather their wagons in a circle and figure out why they both have screwed up so badly. The latest NBC/WSJ poll shows 71% disapprove of Congress (that's both parties, you know).

Memo to Bigreb: Maybe if you had spent less time figuring out games, like how the rep system works, and more time on studying the politics of issues that affect us all, you would have known by now how to spell Nancy Pelosi's name. No, he will not be able to work with a Speaker Boehner or Senate Majority Leader DeMint. He has spent 2 years demonizing them. In his speech in Ohio he mentioned Boehner more than anyone else, not favorably of course.
Everyone knew the numbers for Obamacare were a lie. Even the people voting for it. They were told it would all work out and Americans would love "free health care."
If you think it's expensive now, wait until it's free.

Here's the danger: The entrenched GOP leadership still doesn't get it. Today, Boehner blinked and said he would vote to extend the tax cuts for those who make less than $250K per year. Such compromises make the GOP the party of "Big Government Lite".

Yeah, that was disappointing. He did say it was bad public policy though. Maybe he has something else up his sleeve.
