Under the Obama administration, hundreds of migrants died every year at the Mexican-US border. Thousands were detained in camps. Children were detained in those camps, too. The average daily population of these detention centres was between 30,000 and 40,000. Children were often the first to be cast out of the country – as one report put it, the border authorities moved unaccompanied children to ‘the head of the line’ for deportation. More undocumented migrants were deported by the Obama administration than by any previous administration. One critic called Obama ‘the most stringent enforcer of immigration laws in American history’.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez took a trip down to one of the Trump concentration camps on our southern border where numerous Hispanics are detained for the simple crime of being from Hispanic descent. We’ve seen images from 2015 of how bad these Trump camps are but we never truly knew the horrors that lie within until we saw AOC’s expressions during her photoshoot.

The pictures don’t show what she was actually looking at but we can only imagine it was because what she was seeing was so horrific that mere mortal eyes couldn’t behold the atrocities. We should thank Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for looking at the concentration camps where brown people are detained for absolutely reason and expressing discontent so we can see how hurt she is by the sight she chose not to show us.
We know for a fact that these pictures are not staged and that she was for sure looking at something awful. This is why we must impeach Trump and free every single asylum seeker. No one is illegal on stolen land. Diversity is our strength.

I love AOC but these images feel so staged, it undermines her credibility on these issues. This crisis is not about “ striking” photos of a Congresswoman, it is about DYING CHILDREN.

She wasn't posing, these were caught by a photog on the scene. A good photog will make their subject look good no matter what's going on around them.

Ignorant damn fool. These are just temporary quarters, where migrant kids stay for only a very short time, waiting to be placed. And where are they placed ? At detention centers like Southwest Key Programs, where the kids have it better than they ever had in their lives (and better than many American kids)

Watch how media and congressional liberals do/say everything they can to demonize and disparage Trump administration detention centers, for unaccompanied migrant kids.

In the meantime, the video shows the kids' nice clean bedrooms, good food being served, recreation (soccer), and education classrooms.
