30 shots in under ten seconds. 2 seconds to put in a new magazine. Perfect weopoon for cleaning out crowded malls or first and second grade school rooms.

True
Bushmaster makes dozens of models. Some of them are geared to "assault weapon ban" states, like CT. That one has a bayonet lug, which is a no-no. Cuts down on drive by bayonettings.

Exactly, and I'm certain Time Magazine understands that.

No assault rifle was used, as assault weapons are banned in Connecticut.

The 1994 Assault Weapon Ban was and is the law in Connecticut...see my signature line for the links.

To answer your question, the weapon used probably looked like this.

No telescoping or folding stock, no flash suppressor. Assault Weapon ban compliant.

That's the 20" rifle. He could have had the "M-Forgery" with fixed stock that looks collapsible and other cosmetic crap.

Nah, put up the photos of the Bushmaster, an AR15, an M4 carbine. Anythink else along those lines.

All stripped down to bare basic gun. No grenade launcher, no bayonet lug. No folding stock. Just bare bones guns.

Lets see if they have many similarities. Maybe fire the same round. Same type of magazine.

Like could the Bushmaster be a take off of a full blown assault rifle. No way you say.

Then lets see the difference. Other than full auto on the selector switch.

I could point out that you are wrong about firing the same round, or that the Bushmaster IS an AR15, or that the AR15 is not, by your own admission, an assault rifle, but a civilianized "take off".

What I will ask is...so what?

A semi-automatic is a semi-automatic, they all work exactly the same.

This semi automatic is no different and no faster...

Than THIS semi-automatic...

The way it looks is inconsequential to it's function.

Whatever that is, it's not a Bushmaster. The Glock was supposed to be a 10mm (model 29 or Model 20).
Reporting on this has been atrocious.
