No. There are Democrats and Indies too! It's just 'most' of the democrats who stay respond to reason...they dont get lost in hyperbole. Those democrats who don't argue based on reality or reason or rational thought often leave after a short time.

Nah he seems to be part of the later. He/she is too young to understand that what MTV and the media tells them is not 100% accurate. Republicans dont eat babies. They dont rape single, black females. They dont kill black males. They dont imprison elderly and take their money. They dont draft poor unsuspecting kids to go die in wars.

Perhaps in time, He/she will grow up and realize that the mind is a terrible thing to waste.

My political maturity has gone through the idealism of liberalism and the practicality of conservatism and I'm now at a different stage.

It seems naive now to hold on to a principle to the end. Moderation is the key and a person with capable rational abilities views the situation and blends the aspirations of idealism with the down-to-earth understanding of practicality.

Holding on to either one is, in my opinion, foolish. I respect the man/woman who strives for principles but does it in a way that is realistic.
