That dares to boast the he would not put energy above economy obviously does not understand energy and in no way deserves educated American votes. Sorry Perry. Change your stance or go away. Obama at least knows the impact of necessary energy on the economy.

What? Obama knows no such thing. I'm not a fan of Perry but Obama thinks that the solution to making alternative energy viable is to throw billions of dollars at it.

He knows nothing, he makes Perry look like Steven Hawking for Christ's sake.

Energy and the economy go hand-in-hand. No brainer.

One of the most vibrant sectors of our economy today is oil and natural gas. Employers are competing for labor, domestic production is increasing, and royalty revenues are flowing into local state and federal treasuries.

Oh, baby, you are so right, let the masses remain blind to individuals being set up for fail. Afterall, Sara Palin and the McCain campaign was, huh?

Solar panels don't put food on the table...that's what voters will be considering when they enter the voting booth.

Does he? Can you explain why he is willing to allow the EPA to shutter a significant portion of our power grid by imposing MACR and letting them ignore everything else, including the impact on jobs and the economy?

I am not a wizened economist nor an energy specialist. I wouldn't be able to tell others in those positions what their best decisions ought to be even IF I knew what their choices were with the potential benefits/consequences.

State says smog rules will reduce electric power supply - Houston Chronicle

From this article, by which I can only guess is what you are referring to because I am not familiar with those acronyms, it is about the taxing effects on the power supply factories and the issues of the smog and smog rules being taxed as well. Perhaps for all of our beloved wisdoms and technology our power grid is no less at risk because 'we' fail at being top notch. Is this something 'we' can pass on to future generations and just boast blame to the man within the box already on a hot seat for what congress is and is not doing?

Perry may very well be a considerable candidate, I am wrong to have the mental blocks I have, perhaps, when I hear discussions of energy and economic balances being misjudged. Granted, I know so little yet and I am not one on the front lines within the factories dealing with corporate 'know better' sects. Perhaps the face we are putting out to the world about our technology growth and potential needs to CHANGE. :eusa_whistle:
