I need a good recipe for an orange icing in order to duplicate Hostess orange cupcakes. I want something that has a more tart flavor, but will still harden slightly. Any ideas?
Sift a good amount of powdered sugar into a bowl.....Add 1/2 teaspoon of any flavoring you want along with any zest you want..... add melted butter a tablespoon at a time and mix...keep adding butter until you get the consistency you want.... not to thin now.
