ANTIFA web site host served subpoena for all data

it is more than likely unconstitutional.... they are looking for 100 people but are basically asking for the names and addresses (thru their ip address info) and complete internet whereabouts of 1.3 million people that could have simply been to this site, even only once...

it breaks the 4th amendment...with an unreasonable search... imo.

there has to be a way to narrow the search down to where those being searched, the govt has probable cause that they committed a crime...you would think?

Now that DHS has listed ANTIFA as a terrorist organization the membership can be held without bail and indefinitely under our anti-terrorism laws. I have a feeling a bunch of punk ass kids are in for a very rude awaking tomorrow.. Can you say GITMO?

Well about 200 Antifa are already facing 10-25 years in American Federal prison for violently rioting and burning things down and attacking the police in Washington DC on January 20th during the Inauguration.

That Antifa rioting took place in Washington DC, which was a direct Federal Felony, which is why 200 of them who were rounded up are now in prison and awaiting full trial, they should expect between 10-25 years in prison each.
I have the distinct feeling that number is about to grow exponentially..

Yes and yes.

Now that they are designated a terrorist organization and the web site a terrorist recruiting/funding site it falls under national security and our anti-terrorism laws. They are considered an enemy combatant against the US and they loose their fourth amendment rights and all the others.

Its going to be a rude awakening for you guys when you realize that your own actions have forfeited your constitutional rights....

1.3 million who simply visited the site can not be designated as individual terrorists without cause. What if a nimrod on this site gave a link to what someone posted on their site and we all hit the link to read what was said?

Would we really be designated as terrorists for that....? I don't think so....the govt needs more than a visit to a site for that.... for goodness sake, this is America, not Russia!

to learn your name and affiliation? No they don't. Getting the list is just an initial step in the investigation. Trust me your already on plenty of lists if you have a social security number, pay taxes, or drive a car.

You really don't get it...
The site was used for recruitment and funding.. That means every one who visited will be investigated to various levels.. PERIOD!

Your having a hard time with the term ENEMY COMBATANT. This is some one who invokes force or fear against the US or makes threats to harm the US. As an enemy combatant you have NO RIGHTS under the US Constitution. Those are now gone and the USCMJ is the governing documents. The moment you put on the ANTIFA uniform, fly their flag and cover your face you have chosen to be an enemy combatant, your no longer an American with rights.

ANTIFA web site host served subpoena for all data..

The Department of Justice has issued a subpoena for all IP's, pictures and data held by Dream Host. The site is used for organizing violent protests and planning violence and is now considered a terrorist recruiting point of contact by the Department of Justice.

"Jeff Sessions just sent a clear message to the anti-fascist violent protestors at the event in Charlottesville. The Trump Department of Justice has now requested information about the users of the anti-Trump website called DisruptJ20. The web host, Dream Host, says they will not comply with the request to hand over 1.3 million IP addresses of these anti-fascist, neo-socialists.

Jeff Sessions is working to keep his job. DreamHost is claiming that complying with the request will be going too far. They say it would be the equivalent of handing over 1.3 million visitor IP addresses, their information, email content and photos of the visitors to the website, says the Hill."

This is about to get very real...

Is this going to be a credible source?

It doesn't look good. I need a backup on this one.

I have no problem with them going after the bad guys there. NONE, ZERO, ZIP!

The problem is getting 1.3 million IP addresses for any and every one who ever visited the site from it's creation.... it's too broad of a search...they need to narrow the search request...instead of casting the broad net, a narrower net focusing in on the perps.

So..how about posting some? CBS would be nice.

I did some research a while back, CBS and 1 other were the least biased. It wasn't FOX, I can't remember the other one right now. :(

DreamHost is fighting DoJ request for 1.3M IP addresses of visitors to anti-Trump protest site

Here is a credible tech site... these guys are fuming....

They aren't declaring everyone who's ever been to the website a terrorist. I've probably clicked on their site, myself, at some point to check them out.

I know damn well I have, to survey what they're up to.

This is good!

This is winning!

C'mon, make it happen!

Please, Dreamhost, do it!

Why do they ask for so broad of a search, though? Why not people that signed up and stuff?

agree, but billy bob is the one who said THEY WERE! And I find that hard to believe that this would not be unconstitutional...
