It was bound to happen. After switching ISPs a few months ago, our email address was off spam lists and all was well. Unfortunately, my wife registered with Orbitz using our legit email address instead of a throwaway address from Yahoo or Hotmail. Orbitz evidently contracts with those ethical fellows at Doubleclick.

So, suddenly we started getting unbelievable deals from Dealster. A day later we were getting several spams per day from treasuretrees.com. Then too-good-to-be true offers from blueskycoupons.net!

So it's official. We're on several spam lists that are being bought and sold daily. Only a matter of time now before I start getting those STUPENDOUS VIAGRA OFFER!!!!!!! and LOSE 20 POUNDS OVERNIGHT!!!!! emails. Oh yeah, can't wait to see what's new in the PENIS ENLARGEMENT!!!!!! industry.

DAMN do I hate those rat-bastard spammers!

I went back to get Mailwasher again, that did the trick before. Unfortunately, it looks like they were bought out by an outfit called Firetrust, and they cut out the free version of mailwasher. I downloaded the trial version to help out in the interim, but I need to get a permanent one. I really liked Mailwasher because it would give the spammers a bogus 'User Unknown' bounce message. Just ignoring the spam doesn't help cleanse your address from the spam lists.

Anyone know and use a good, effective & free anti-spam program?

I've got adaware & spybot, FF1... it's not a spyware problem I've got, it's spam via email.

I don't see anything in Adaware that works with Outlook Express to combat spam...?

we pay a company something like $40 a month for a spam blocker at our business. I'm not sure about spam blockers on an individual basis.... hmmmm

Mailwasher is the only sure way to keep spam from reaching your inbox. I have version 1.33, the free version. :)

On the way to the office this morning, I was listening to Kim Komando on the radio (boy, I didn't realize how fine she looks until I went to her website! :wank:  :)) and she recommends SpamElimination. It ain't free, but at $27.95 a year, looks like a pretty good deal to me!
