The Grimms weren´t been the author of the fairy tales, they were been the collectors of old known fairy tales which have been already existed for long times in the society. They work was to write them down to protect the for becoming forgotten.

Lots of people were Nazi's, I imagine people being people and suffering from the same human nature, not all people were as zealous as others.
