Liberals
Ideas precede speech and speech precedes action. This is a universal law of human experience and can be illustrated by looking at numerous historical examples. In the 1930s and 1940s the idea that Jews are subhuman was promoted by the hate tirades of the Nazi propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels, his boss, Hitler, and the numerous hate mongers in Europe and America who ranted then and now against the existence of the Jewish people.
In our own day we see these haters again. Now they use the word liberal to label their activities on behalf of those who seek to instigate a second Holocaust by murdering the people of Israel. Once more the haters use the same technique their Nazi predecessors used. They repeat the anti-Jewish canards of the past 2,000 years again and again. Had not their predecessor, Hitler, recognized that a lie told over and over again will finally be believed as the truth? Many people believe that anything they have heard for years and repeatedly must be true. Therefore the anti-Jewish blood libels now disseminated by the liberals of this world seem true to those who have heard all their lives that Jews are oppressing the innocent German people. This is now paraphrased to read Jews are oppressing the innocent Arab people. The lie that Jews are poisoning the water supply has been paraphrased to the effect that Jews are inserting AIDS into the food supply of the innocent Palestinian people.
The distributors of these anti-Jewish hate speeches call themselves liberals on the grounds that they are sorry for the poor 300 million Arabs who are threatened by 5 million Jews in Israel.
Now the word liberal is evidently derived from the Latin word liber, meaning free. In a political sense this used to mean that those who viewed themselves as liberals were willing to permit all opinions to be heard and all people, of whatever ethnic group, to participate in the political process. Liberal also referred to those who were willing and able to overcome their religious bias and to promote the equality of the Jewish people both in this country and in Europe before it became the graveyard of six million martyrs.
Early in the 20th century Jews were almost entirely concerned with liberal politics in this country and in Europe because the Jewish population in both continents was very poor and in Europe the constant target of the most vile of hatreds. Jews often misunderstood the intentions of so-called liberals even in the early part of the 20th century when a good number of Jews believed that the Communist party, founded by an ex-Jew, would be their salvation. The Communists of course turned out to be the enemies of the Jews living in the former Soviet Union so that under Arab instigated persecutions, the Jews of the U.S.S.R. fled to Israel and the United States.
Now the liberals who achieved that exodus are doing it again. They are stirring up anti-Jewish hate all over Europe among the same brutes who to this day profit by the robbery of Jewish homes, art collections, furniture, bank accounts, land and all kinds of other property they stole from the Jews they murdered.
In this country the liberals suppress freedom of speech and raise money for the mass murder of yet another 5-6 million Israeli Jews whom they seek to slaughter in the name of liberalism.
These liberals are particularly visible on the campuses of our universities. On repeated occasions our liberal students and professors have prevented speeches by former prime minister Benyamin Netanyahu by using physical force to prevent his entry into a hall or a campus. Other Jewish speakers have also been prevented from speaking or even appearing in institutions of higher learning. There was a time when universities were devoted to the expression of all opinion. Now the liberals, by violence and threats, have shut down all debate or expression of views not to their liking
Recently, Lawrence Summers, president of Harvard University, told his student audience that anti-Israel conduct is anti-Jewish. He called it anti-semitism, an obnoxious word invented by a German hater of the 19th century. Summers had good reason to point to that poison on the campus of Harvard, where a number of so-called intellectuals signed petitions demanding that American investors withdraw their investments from Israel for the audacity of Jews to defend themselves.
Now it is true that years ago liberals did on occasion say this or that in favor of the 6 million Jews the Europeans had slaughtered. Yet, now, when the Arabs and their supporters are seeking to bring on a second Holocaust, our liberals actively participate in that effort by pretending that the murder of Jews by homicide bombers is no crime at all but that Jewish self-defense is a crime.
In Europe that view is popular. It is, after all, nothing more than another warmed up version of the old European Jew hatred now served up under the label criticism of Israels policies. In fact it is nothing more than another call for the extermination of all Jews from the face of the earth.
Included in the liberal posse are such congressmen as Jim McDermott of Seattle, Washington and David Bonior of Detroit, Michigan, who returned from Iraq last week after having broadcast from Iraq that Saddam Hussein is more trustworthy than President George W. Bush. These two Democrats are evidently willing to defame their own country inside the Iraqi dictatorship even as other liberals, generally Democrats, find a thousand reasons not to stand up to the vilest dictator since Hitler. It ought to be noted as well that the Democratic Party, which seems to have the loyalty of so many Jewish voters, includes all those who want to cut off aid to Israel, pretend that Jews are always wrong in defending their lives and that opposition to Arab oppression and treason must be soft pedaled. Just as in the first half of the 20th century so many Jews wanted to be fooled by Stalin, and German Jews even pretended that the civilized Germans really didnt mean their threats, there are now millions of American Jews unwilling to recognize our own interests. That interest lies with electing supporters of George W. Bush to congress this November lest our liberal friends have yet one more occasion to commemorate the 6 million Israeli Jews the Arab-European alliance wants to condemn to another Holocaust.
