Anti-American feeling in Mexico growing

So the root problem is that you have no comprehension of the word "ethnicity?"

Actually, I do. Quite well. The problem is that you don't have comprehension of something called fallacy of accident.

Let's start with ethnicity:

ethnic or ethnical Dictionary.com

— adj
1. relating to or characteristic of a human group having racial, religious, linguistic, and certain other traits in common
2. relating to the classification of mankind into groups, esp on the basis of racial characteristics

ethnic (Merriam Webster)

a : of or relating to large groups of people classed according to common racial, national, tribal, religious, linguistic, or cultural origin or background <ethnic minorities> <ethnic enclaves>
b : being a member of a specified ethnic group <an ethnic German>
c : of, relating to, or characteristic of ethnics <ethnic neighborhoods> <ethnic foods>

Ethnic Group (wikipedia)

An ethnic group (or ethnicity) is a group of people whose members identify with each other, through a common heritage, often consisting of a common language, a common culture (often including a shared religion) and an ideology that stresses common ancestry or endogamy.

Now, your fallacy of accident occurs because you have broken the concept of "ethnic" down and are making the determinations of what is "ethnic" based on only one of a compound of contributing qualities. There is no doubt that every single country in this world, even the tiny Vatican City, has its own unique culture. But that does not mean that there are not cultures that are similar to each other, or that they do not have common origins. To classify ethnicity based only on the fact that two cultures are now unique, even when those cultures have certain historical common roots, is fallacy. It's like taking the tires off of a car and saying "This is what makes it a car." Ethnicity is more than about being from the same country. It is about having common roots, expressed in common ancestral origins, language, etc.

Generally speaking...

An Aztec...is a Mexican... is an Hispanic...

However, an Hispanic...is not necessarily a Mexican....is not necessarily an Aztec...

AND he shoots his toe off....

Thanks for playing.

Bingo.

Further, the MAJORITY of Hispanics are not Mexican and are not of the same ethnicity as Mexicans.

Tell an Argentine they are an ethnic Mexican and watch their reaction.

-_- Seriously? Who said anything about all Hispanics being Mexicans?
