will not happen...too big a business for doctors and pharms....be realistic about this .....that is the reason nothing was done in the bush era...remember that when bush had the full support of congress etc and so forth....he made a big show of outlawing late term......which is nothing in the scope of things....did nothing about abortion in general....dont think cause the clinics are closing that it will stop...women have aborted since the beginning of time as soon as they could figure out the right herbal combo....now pharms have done that for ya.....it wont stop...the process will just change...

Anti-abortion Republicans are not hypocrites!

Everyone I have talked to in my lifetime is both pro-choice and pro-life when both terms are presented in the abstract. Unfortunately, the abortion debate has been defined as being either pro-choice or pro-life, thus allowing each side to present their arguments in the most favorable light. If the abortion issue were defined as being either pro-abortion or anti-abortion, the hypocrisy disappears. There is no hypocrisy in being pro-abortion and against the death penalty as the events are significantly different. By the same token, neither is there any hypocrisy in being anti-abortion and in favor of either the death penalty or war. Taking different stands on different issues is not hypocrisy.

Actually, there are very few pure pro-choice proponents or pure pro-life advocates as those terms are applied to abortion. Some pro-choicers would deny a woman the right to base her decision on the sex of the fetus and some pro-choicers are against the procedure know as partial birth abortion. Pro-lifers also have their limitations. Most would allow an abortion in certain situations, including rape, incest, and when carrying the child to term would endanger the mother's life.

Now I have a question for you? If an abortion is unsuccessful in that the fetus lives through the procedure, should the child be left unattended for hours allowing it to die? Even some, perhaps most, of those who are in favor of abortions oppose this callous disregard for human life. You may see hypocrisy in this, but there is none. The situations are morally and legally different in that abortion involves the killing of a fetus, and the other involves the negligent homicide of a living child (note: some states have passed laws making this a crime).

Conclusion: The only ones who see hypocrisy are those that think the taking of any life under any situation is either inherently good or inherently evil; either all are justified or none are justified. Fortunately, such people are rare.

Sadly, you consider only the life of the fetus to be of any importance.

So, we have established what policies and regulations the self-proclaimed pro-lifers support, now let us list the many policies the self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose that prove they are hypocrites.

1- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: programs that provide neonatal care
2- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: programs like food aid
3- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: programs that provide free school lunches
4- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: programs that provide cash payments to the nation’s many deeply impoverished families
5- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: programs that provide Head Start classes
6- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: food stamps
7- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: welfare
8- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: Medicaid
9- Self-proclaimed pro-lifers oppose: raising the minimum wage

Your opposition to the nine programs listed above (and there are more) is adequate evidence to prove the hypocrisy of you self-proclaimed pro-lifers

But the best proof of all comes with self-proclaimed pro-lifers' support of capital punishment. Given the many Death Row inmates who have been proven innocent through DNA science, it is obvious there were many executed in the decades past who had committed no crime. But self-pro-claimed pro-lifers ignore this fact.

So in closing, yes, you are indeed pro-fetus, but as far as being pro-life, your devotion to your politics overrules your pro-life principles, you are, undeniably, hypocrites.
