It was a murder suicide and a neighbor called the police because she/he heard the husband threatening his wife.

"An FBI agent and his wife were killed in an apparent murder-suicide the day they were expected in court for their ongoing divorce battle, according to officials.

FBI Special Agent David Raynor, 52, and Donna Fisher, 54, were found dead Wednesday morning when authorities responded to a domestic assault call at a Crownsville, Maryland, home, the Capital Gazette reported.

The caller reportedly told dispatchers that they were concerned about a woman who “was being threatened by her recently estranged husband.”

Emergency responders arrived to discover the couple’s bodies, both of which appeared to be stabbed, outside of the home. Authorities said Raynor also suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The two were pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.

Fisher filed for divorce from her husband in May 2017, and the couple was in the middle of divorce proceedings scheduled through Thursday, according to court records."

Neighbors actually heard the murder-suicide happening and called 911.
