Another Socialist/Progressive 'News' Source Gets Busted For Lying...

Let's face it, anyone who listens to/reads partisan based news sources will eventually get misinformation, whether deliberate or not.
How many times have we seen a poster post something from their favorite ideological resource as "fact", only to have another poster debunk the "fact"? And this applies to both sides of the aisle.
For somebody to focus on just one side of the aisle as guilty of practicing this hackery is completely disingenuous.

After all the rapes and murders that have occurred at the #OWS protest sites CNN decided the movement needed a little more help. After all didn't Barry, CNN's hero, whole heartedly embrace the movement?
I think it was a poster who calls himself "The Rabbi" here who asked what would be happening without the internet today?
Probably a repeat of something like CBS's Walter Cronkite flying anti Vietnam War speaker Edmund Muskie by helicopter from one anti Vietnam War speaking engagement to another with absolutely no one aware of the complicity after Cronkite remarked "The War Is Lost" publicly on the airwaves.

Yeah, these incidents really do give you a better understanding of why Socialists/Progressives are generally very hateful & ignorant. This is where they get their 'News & Information' from. And CNN especially, has become a sad disgrace.

To make a statement that just the left gets sucked in by misinformation, is purely disingenuous.
During my time on USMB and other boards, I have seen just as many from the right post something as "fact" only to have their "fact" proven to be false information. In other words both sides are guilty.
The best way to avoid posting unfounded misinformation is to use reliable non-partisan resources and then double check the information by using a little ambition and some self-pride as being a creditable poster.

None of what you've said makes this right. The old 'But the other guys do it too' mantra is pretty weak. If this is where Socialists/Progressives are getting their 'News', it really does explain a lot about them.

I never said what the Huffpost did was right.
I do however think you seriously need to look in the mirror because I seem to recall many on the Right posting misinformation as fact, when it was not. You have selective rage and that's not being honest.

Yeah and? That's their problem. Maybe they should stop lying? Gee, there's an idea no?

Well, they didn't lie, they published a story which was proved false for which they apologized. Over a week ago.

You seem to be ignoring the crux of the story.

The Huff Post did not just run the story without confirming its validity....but they continued to run updates on it...again, before proving its validity..

And CNN also ran stories on it without knowing it is valid.

And BOTH CNN ANd the Post spoke derogatorily about the 1% becuase of this......AGAIN without knowing if it was valid or not.

It is not a matter of just reporting on it....for if they just reported on it, it would have been a 30 second story....instead, they ran multiple stories on it.

Now we're getting somewhere with this but the ultimate crux of the story is that all news sources should be confirming the validity of it's stories. A practice Fox News seems all too proud to shun.

And I still don't know why we're dredging this up again when all of this went down over a week ago. HuffPost published a correction. We just like beating dead horses?

Well then start your own thread and post all that 'misinformation' you have from the Right. Go for it. But it still wont change the fact CNN & The Huffington Post are shallow liars.

Oh because it happened a week ago, it makes it all just fine. Now i get it. And you're certainly free to start your own thread pointing out other similar Media lies. Go for it.

Not gettin' Rush off the hook that easy. Sad that you have to start a new thread on an old subject in the attempt.

:lmao: Hilarious spin on this. I love it. Gotta give you some credit for trying.

It is a common media tactic to deliberately run a story they know to be false.... and then run a 'correction' later. They know that the majority of their readers will pay no attention to the 'correction' but will carry on believing the original story.... but, they can always claim that they 'corrected' their 'mistake'.
