I like Newt, even though I think he has too much baggage for the top spot...but it's also clever how he needs more than one term to accomplish the task.
I like Newt. I would say he's my first choice at this point now that Perry can't seem to get his stuff together.
I think he has two major problems. The first is that he has to be able to better explain his failed marriages. "I was working too hard for the country" just sound arrogant. He needs to be contrite. Americans are very forgiving of wrongdoing if you come off as sorry for what you did.
The other is that he needs to be a bit more personable. I personally like him, but sometime he comes off too much like a college professor.
