Is it any of his positions? Has he made it seem that he has overcome his past problems with integrity and self-discipline? Is it just/mostly how he debates? ???

I'm no Newt fan, but the guy has a few good ideas occasionally.

He has a larger libido than Bill Clinton. What cajones does a guy have to have to actually ask first.

Here's his appeal.

1) He's not Romney.
2) He says what he feels, not what a focus group tells him to say.
3) He's actually taken the fight to Democrats. He didn't bend over for them.
4) Did I mention he's not Romney?


Now, personally, I'd have loved to have had Tim Pawlenty, Mitch Daniels or any number of other people as options this time. But the GOP Establishment essentially threatened put a horse's head in their beds if they didn't stand aside for Romney.

Gingrich has survived because all the bad news about him is old news. So Gingrich is it.

Because 70% of Republicans really don't want Mittens.
