Again for the slow, the family is trying to lay blame on anyone and everyone except themselves. Unless the cops bribed those students I would say it is pretty cut and dried. Once again the piece is slanted FOR the family, if those kids did not agree the cop was justified that sure as HELL would be in the story.

Wrong; for the slower, the most the story supports is an argument that the family is searching for answers, but they offended your delicate sensibilities by their careless phrasing in a moment of grief. You are jumping to conclusions; you might be right, but your assessment is premature.
