In the Fourth Assessment Report (AR4), issued in 2007 by the U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), scientists wrote that 40 percent of the Amazon rainforest in South America was endangered by global warming.

But that assertion was discredited this week when it emerged that the findings were based on numbers from a study by the World Wildlife Federation that had nothing to do with the issue of global warming -- and that was written by a freelance journalist and green activist.

A study from a peer reviewed publication, Nature.

Now is that the kind of study you want to see, or are you just another fool trying to delegitimize science?

From Paleontology, we know full well that rapid climate change always involves species extinction.

Feeling the heat: Climate change and biodiversity loss

Many plant and animal species are unlikely to survive climate change. New analyses suggest that 15–37% of a sample of 1,103 land plants and animals would eventually become extinct as a result of climate changes expected by 2050. For some of these species there will no longer be anywhere suitable to live. Others will be unable to reach places where the climate is suitable. A rapid shift to technologies that do not produce greenhouse gases, combined with carbon sequestration, could save 15–20% of species from extinction. The cover shows a species in the firing line. Boyd's forest dragon, Hypsilurus boydii, is found in Queensland, Australia. About 90% of its distribution would become climatically unsuitable by 2050, on maximum climate warming scenarios. I think if I keep getting bombarded with this global warming bullshit I may end up getting the skids or something. Same old grind... BLAAAH BLAAAH BLAAAH. Sounds like the adults talking in a Charlie Brown cartoon. When birds start bursting into flame in mid-flight I will begin to believe in global warming. Until then, take a pill.

You don't have to read anything about it at all. Your children will get to handle far more of it than you will.

Willfull ignorance is the highest crime that you can commit against your children.

Help is available OldRocks - get into a 12 step program. Seriously, you've been scammed.

Once again you demonstrate that you haven't the faintest idea of what the reality is concerning global warming.

Just silly yap-yap, and zero indictation of any real thought is all that you have ever presented.

Have you ever taken one serious science class, even in high school? If so, you surely have given no indictication that you learned anything there.
