Another Free Lunch For Harvard

The education industry is the very foundation of the entire parasite class. Nobody can untangle the tax dollar web of deceit educators have been weaving throughout the 20th century.

Parenthetically, Harvard University was founded in 1636, but there is no doubt in my mind that Harvard parasites led every higher education institution in implementing, and later controlled, the XVI Amendment.

NOTE: The Department of Education was created by Jimmy Carter to serve one purpose. The ED coordinates every tax dollar effort every college and university goes after.

Education industry parasites so control every tax dollar expenditure individual liberty is all but smothered by the entire parasite class. A few Americans know about higher education’s feast on federal and state tax tubs; so I will only mention one free lunch that is hidden from the prying eyes who pay the taxes:

. . . Harvard’s balance sheet, it has for decades now been a hedge fund with an educational institution attached, the educational institution more than paying for itself in the tax exemption it confers upon the entire endowment.

Universities shouldn’t be tax exempt

Universities shouldn 8217 t be tax exempt

This next news story might be humorous on the surface, but Harvard parasites are not going to pay for anything. You can take this to the bank —— taxpayers will get the bill no matter how this ends:

Many conservatives are chuckling over this New York Times story about the impact Obamacare is having on Harvard’s health care plan: “Health Care Fixes Backed by Harvard’s Experts Now Roil Its Faculty.” Heh. It was easier to promote Obamacare when they thought it was only going to apply to others:

XXXXX

In other words, Harvard is like every other employer. If government imposes mandated coverages and, in effect, makes it illegal to sell cheap insurance, guess what: health insurance will get more expensive. The odd thing is that there apparently were a lot of Harvard professors who didn’t understand this until they got the bill.

XXXXX

Welcome to the world, Professor.

Mary D. Lewis, a professor who specializes in the history of modern France and has led opposition to the benefit changes, said they were tantamount to a pay cut.

Well, yes. What was her first clue? For quite a few years, labor costs have been increasing while wages have stagnated, because more compensation dollars have been funneled into rising health insurance costs. This is indeed a pay cut: there is, as someone once said, no free lunch.

XXXXX

So now Harvard’s professors, pretty much all of whom voted for Obama and supported Obamacare, are learning the hard way, from experience, what they apparently were not able to learn by analysis. Lots of conservatives enjoy this, because they don’t like Harvard.

College costs are rising because of increasing salaries and pensions. Why aren't students protesting these reasons for tuition increases? Many professors double dip by "retiring" and continuing to teach at the same time. When are we going to control this fiscal madness?

To jwoodie: You are on the right track, but to get there education industry parasites must be permanently driven away from the tax trough. It should not be hard to accomplish since the education industry has no constitutional authority to start with.

You previously viewed this thread so you might want to go back and examine #7 permalink:

Do you want to abolish all federal spending on education, or just the Department of Education? If the latter, shouldn't there be some strings attached to the money being doled out?

To jwoodie: Are you trying to be clever? I cannot make it more clear. The federal government has no business in education on any level.

Obviously, you cannot grasp how the ED is using tax dollars to brainwash children and young adults into the joys of Socialism —— in addition to forcing global government garbage on Americans through education. So please stop wasting my time. In the future research my messages. You will not find sly talking points looking to praise the education industry as you did in number 2 permalink. You do not want to drive parasites from the public purse altogether, you only want to limit their tax dollar incomes.

My last word. In another thread you said kind words about Jeb Bush. He plans on promoting Common Core with tax dollars. That comes straight from the United Nations.

Here’s a bit of good news. Conservatives can safely flush ESTABLISHMENT REPUBLICAN Governor John Kasich down the toilet along with Jeb Bush.

WTH is wrong with you? I asked a serious question about what you would like to see happen, and you come apart at the seams. I expect this sort of response from the liberal nut cases on this board, but was hoping for a rational discussion about federal involvement in education.

To jwoodie: Debate a liberal if you want to engage in Socratic elenchus.
