Annual GAO Report Says Federal Government Spending Is 'Unsustainable'

A newly released GAO report finds that "...absent policy changes...the federal government continues to face an unsustainable fiscal path." The Government Accountability Office completed its annual audit of the government and the news is just sad. It is no surprise, and it won't be reported by the mainstream media [properly], but it is sad nonetheless.

To add insult to injury, President Obama has repeatedly made it clear that he is not interested in negotiating with Congress over raising the debt ceiling. The GOP has repeatedly asked to negotiate spending cuts and entitlement reform, but despite Obama's position in 2006 that raising the debt ceiling was a sign of "leadership failure," he has clearly changed his mind while he holds the purse strings.

The GAO report should be a wake-up call.

Yeah... Who needs defense when according to Obama, Al Qaeda has been decimated. Although one must not pay too much attention to those minor setbacks in Benghazi,Mali, and Algeria. As for Annual GAO Report Says Federal Government Spending Is 'Unsustainable... Do we really need people to actually study something so blatantly obvious? Remember, Obama said he was only going to Tax the rich? How's that working out since January one?

Why do you libs keep harping on defense spending?

It's cutting into their spending for illegal aliens and other permanent government dependents. How are they supposed to redistribute all the wealth if we keep blowing money on national security? We sent a billion to the Muslim Brotherhood and billions more to other countries that aren't exactly allies. They waste money left and right and Obama has kept our troops overseas. He even sent more. The left says nothing about it when he wants to put our troops in harms way and not bring them home like he promised. There is no more daily body count like there was with Bush. And the numbers haven't decreased.

The spending is unsustainable because there are so many unsustainable government programs and a bloated government. It's all by design, which is why the current administration isn't concerned that we're bankrupt and wants to raise the debt ceiling and keep spending.

Remember, Obama wants to rebuild this country from the bottom up. Some didn't realize that before he can do that, he has to tear it down first.
