America's most beloved and most despised commentator goes for the jugular like never before in her new book, "Godless: The Church of Liberalism."

This is not Ann Coulter's fence-mending mission with her enemies.

In her new book, available now through the WND Book Service at a discount of 32 percent, Coulter shows how liberal hostility to traditional religion stems from the fact that liberalism is itself a religion – a godless one. And, she reveals, thanks to the liberals who dominate the courts, the government bureaucracies, the schools and the media, liberalism is now the established religion in America.

Though liberalism rejects the idea of God and reviles people of faith, argues the WND columnist, it bears all the attributes of a religion itself. In "Godless," she throws open the doors of the Church of Liberalism, showing us:

its sacraments (abortion)

its holy writ (Roe v. Wade)

its martyrs (from Soviet spy Alger Hiss to cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal)

its clergy (public school teachers)

its churches (government schools, where prayer is prohibited but condoms are free)

its doctrine of infallibility (as manifest in the "absolute moral authority" of spokesmen from Cindy Sheehan to Max Cleland)

and its cosmology (in which mankind is an inconsequential accident)
Then, of course, there's the liberal creation myth: Charles Darwin's theory of evolution.

For liberals, evolution is the touchstone that separates the enlightened from the benighted. But Coulter neatly reverses the pretense that liberals are rationalists guided by the ideals of free inquiry and the scientific method. She exposes the essential truth about Darwinian evolution that liberals refuse to confront: It is bogus science.

Writing with a keen appreciation for genuine science, Coulter reveals that the so-called "gaps" in the theory of evolution are all there is – Darwinism is nothing but a gap. After 150 years of dedicated searching into the fossil record, evolution's proponents have failed utterly to substantiate its claims. And a long line of supposed evidence, from the infamous Piltdown Man to the "evolving" peppered moths of England, has been exposed as hoaxes. Still, liberals treat those who question evolution as religious heretics and prohibit students from hearing about real science when it contradicts Darwinism. And these are the people who say they want to keep faith out of the classroom?

Liberals' absolute devotion to Darwinism, Coulter shows, has nothing to do with evolution's scientific validity and everything to do with its refusal to admit the possibility of God as a guiding force. They will brook no challenges to the official religion.

Liberalism aka Secularism.
Coulter is spot-on.

Who ever thought she was on a fence-mending mission?
Definitely a must-buy book.

So this is what the discourse has come to? The various leaders on each side spend their lives writing books that basically s**t on the opposition. How about instead of writing a 300 page book about how terrible the liberals/conservatives are, why not research and write a comprehensive piece of legislation that fully accounts for all the problems and particulars of say, the immigration problem. THen again, that won't make any money...

Because there is one side that's right and one that's wrong - good and evil...

Why do you think it's called "the right"? :)

Ann writes books on topics she's researched..... and it's great exposing the left for who they are - fools... but don't take my word for it:

Ecclesiastes 10:2
The heart of the wise inclines to the right,
but the heart of the fool to the left.

Mr.Conley said:
Are you saying that things called "right" are good because they are given the label of right?

Is that true?

No, i'm saying "they" are called "the right" - because they're usually "right"... :)

Please explain why left-handed people are so inferior.
Because they need preferential seating or they knock your glass over. :p:

Does she present any documentary evidence from independent and objective observers to support her claims? Given her past history, that's not likely. And, as with the rest of her works, a must miss.

When explaining liberalism it would be a sin to use something as silly as evidence or facts.

I hear she toyed with the title, "The Ignorant Hillbillies Guide to the Universe", but didn't want to alienate one of her fans. :D
No matter the title, it appears there are plenty around to lap up exactly what they wanted to hear. She has her moments of brilliance, but like Rush, sometimes she's way over the top.

A book of generalizations written by a crazed and insecure woman.

its churches (government schools, where prayer is prohibited but condoms are free)

This line was a favorite of mine. Every public school I have attended has allowed prayer groups as an extra-curricular activity. Prayer is far from prohibited in school as well, I prayed before nearly every test. No liberal says "no student will pray in school". If you want to pray, pray to yourself. Is it that hard of a concept?

(not that ms. coulter would put any of this in her book, she would hate to bring up the notion that many liberals believe in God)

As far as condoms go, I never recieved a condom for free until college, I think most kids would concur. If a high school does give them away for free, I don't think anyone made a spur of the moment decision to have sex because they suddenly own a condom. If they did...what does it matter, they have a rubber.
