From the WP , no less, which is surprising. Looks like unemployment and the awakenings are penetrating some thick skulls in DC. Some of the comments by Democrats are just unbelievable, particularly those by Maxine Waters-on-the-Brain

Growing discontent over the economy and frustration with efforts to speed its recovery boiled over Thursday on Capitol Hill in a wave of criticism and outright anger directed at the Obama administration.

Even Sen. Charles E. Schumer (D-N.Y.), a friend of the administration, suggested that Geithner had been inconsistent in addressing China's practice of keeping its currency low against the dollar.

And Rep. Peter DeFazio (D-Ore.) said Wednesday on MSNBC that he thinks Geithner should step down, pointing to his handling of the aftermath of American International Group's meltdown.

I think it was more the, he should step down part. Dropping someone from the team is pretty major when your talking the Treasury Secretary. What is that I hear in the distance? It is the Obama bus! Slide right under Mr. Geithner.

well, I don't know...but that would certainly indicate some back biting...of course when someone calls for Geithner to step down...yeah...someone is about to dig in!

Wonder why you chose to omit DeFazio's suggestion? You don't have to answer...the question was really more rhetorical in nature.

There's a real possibility IMO as more and more of the facts buried in the ObamaCare bill come to light that there could be a real jailbreak of Dims abandoning Barry as costs realities and whatnot trickle down to the voters' level.

Heard someone on the tube this morning opine a real problem could be Dim governors up for reelection in '10 as they start squaking about costs the states will have to pony up if it becomes law. Many already broke states will be burdened with millions/billions of extra costs which will translate into no alternative than Govs needing to increase taxes to pay for Barry's wet dream. If that happens it will bring heat to many of the House folks all up for reelection in '10 and some Senators too.

Just as I figured...not much else to say here...

What's happening is these liberals that have been doing obama's bidding are starting to realize that if they continue down that path, they are NOT going to have a job come November of 2010. They also realize they've fucked things up pretty good already and the people know it, so they don't want to continue down that same path. So now the finger pointing and in fighting begins. Yes, "eating their own." It's that simple.

No... obama WON'T be enjoying a second term. Hell he'll be lucky to finish the first one. Soon he'll be relegated into "lame duck" status. Him and his radical, marxist, socialistic agenda can go to hell.

But obama has been dropping a lot of turds, and regardless of some his own trying to kick dirt over them, people can still smell the stink.

Let's just keep Geitner hanging around, so that we don't appear to the republicans, that we are eating our own.... ;)

Just saw this as well:

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-two percent (42%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -15. This is the lowest Approval Index rating yet measured for President Obama (see trends).

Fifty-two percent (52%) of Democrats Strongly Approve while 68% of Republicans Strongly Disapprove. Among those not affiliated with either major political party, just 16% Strongly Approve and 51% Strongly Disapprove (see other recent demographic highlights from the tracking poll).

You can fool some of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.

obama is a fuck up. More and more people are beginning to realize it.

I think the part you guys are missing is that Geithner is not a lefty.

Keep the Banking system Deregulated, Tax cuts in the stimulus, Easy accessible Credit and inflating the money supply are the ideas that Geithner endorses.

....well the news today is all good. The Obamacorn Administration is eating itself. I'm sure it will puke soon.

Gee go figure,a Dunce who couldn't even file his own Taxes properly is an absolute failure? Geithner is an incompetent Dunce who should have never been given so much power & control. It's no different then putting an inexperienced & failed "Community Organizer" in as President. It's all just one big Socialist Nightmare at this point. Three more years of this miserable malaise? Yikes!

Congress controls the purse strings not the president.

Congress needs to whip their own butts.

If that is the case--should not blame the Democratic controlled congress for the recession then?

Of course, none of the republicans are to blame at all.
LOL

Sarcasm off.
