Four TEA Party candidates that failed to win elections that were winnable. It doesn't matter in 2012 since Obama won. If these candidates were more qualified/less moronic in their stances; you'd have a majority in the Senate right now or very close to it anyway.

In 2014, 20 Democratic Seats are up for grabs and 13 GOP seats are up so there is another chance. It will be interesting to see if Susan Collins and Lindsey Graham and Lamar Alexander are targeted for defeat by their own party in the primaries. As we saw tonight....be careful what you wish for; you just may get it.

Seems like Tea Party candidates need to stop saying stupid things about abortion and rape that Democrats can twist into making them look stupid.

None of their comments needed twisting to make them sound stupid.

    Twisting wasn't required.

You are correct on this one. But the "all or nothing" sentiment that is prevalent in the GOP has not served you guys well....hence the 4 seats that could be yours were fumbled away by the TEA party and it's candidates.

Stupid hateful things don't require twisting to look stupid and hateful.

The problem isn't the "saying stupid things"... it's that the stupid things are the end result of the philosophy that underlies them.

If you accept the premise that zygotes are people, too, that they may in fact have as many or more rights than the person they are inside, then, yes, you have to oppose abortion, even in the case of rape or incest.
