Vouchers are a great example of correlation doesn't equal causality.

I got good grades in my Catholic School, and was the first member of my family to graduate college. But it wasn't because the crazy old nuns were any better than the professional educators at Public Schools.

It was because my parents saw education as an investment and made an effort to pay for it.

First line of defense is parents who give a fuck. Vouchers don't solve that.
