western nc has been in a 2.5 yr drought...if we have about 40 inches of rain between now and the end of the year...it may break the drought...unfortunately our average rain fall is 71 inches a year....but yesterday....we were all looking to the east....watching the clouds moving ....we could hear the thunder and on occasion the lightening...now we have had rain for most of 14 days so we knew it was building...and yesterday it hit horse bottom road....

in the last one yo u can see where the water is coming out from under the road...the culvert in the curve has blocked up....mostly it was the road...luckily they have quads or will have access to quads if the roads are blocked
