ANd here is the problem

Sigh, the batteries died.

As luck would have it, I have the perfect Tull song to capture the moment.

Roll Yer Own

Roll yer own. Don't mean you got no money.
Only that you got no opportunity to shake it with that friend of mine.
Roll yer own if you can't buy readymade;
you won't be satisfied when you feel the sudden need
to unwind.
You know what moves you in the wee hours
when there's nothing on the answerphone.
And if you don't get enough of that electric love
don't try to get by ---
roll yer own, roll it when there's no-one listening:
when those re-runs play on the late-night
black and white TV.
Roll yer own, roll it when there's something missing
and those wild cats howl, running in the moonshine.

Roll yer own: you got to hit that spot.
Roll yer own when your hands are hot.

Marriage is not a civil right any more than driving is.

You're right, marriage is a contract entered into by two people. It really has nothing to do with the government at all, except that the government has to recognize the contract.

Last I checked, it was illegal to deny gays a right to enter into a contract for a bank loan, a job, a rental lease...pretty much every other kind of contract. So why are we allowing the government the right to not recognize this kind of contract? It's nothing special. Straight couples sully the good name of marriage day in and day out, may as well let gays do it as well.

and, when you can pass as much with LEGISLATION ill support it. Im FOR gay marriage.. just, not at the cost of wiping our social ass with the constititon.
