Similarities of ancient tablets CONFIRM the story of Creation according to Genesis. Following are common threads of different beliefs:

  • “in the beginning”
  • “primeval abyss”
  • “chaos of waters”
  • “the deep”
  • the gods “formed all things”
  • made the “upper and lower firmaments”
  • “established the heavens and the earth”
  • the 4th day “ordained the stars”
  • “made the grass and the green herbs to grow”
  • “the beasts of the field and the cattle and all living things”
  • on the 6th day “formed man out of the dust of the ground”
  • “they became living creatures”
  • “man with wife they dwelt”
  • “companions they were”
  • “in a garden was their dwelling”
  • “clothing they knew not”
  • the “7th” day was appointed a “holy day,” and
  • “to cease from all business commanded.”

The academic elite would have us believe that because there are such similarities between different ancient religions, Genesis was copied. But hundreds of thousands of tablets contain similar threads of the Biblical Creation Story, not because it was copied but because they are different versions of the same events dating all the way back to Adam and Eve.

In Jemdet Nasr, a pre-flood city, Babylonian inscriptions were found supporting belief in One God, which “rapidly declined into Polytheism and idolatry.” Not far from there is where Abraham was called out from his people in that time.:

1 Now the LORD had said to Abram:
“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.

Abraham was raised in Ur, a rich culture in it’s time complete with mathematical and historical inscriptions. God called him and thus began Biblical recordings of history as it truly was, beginning where so many ancient tablets and recording methods had already been preserved..

All people began with Adam and Eve. The difference between all other beliefs and the Old Testament is how accurately ancient events were kept and recorded..

God called Abraham and none other than His Chosen People were entrusted with detailed recordings from the Ancient of Days to the arrival of Jesus Christ. Through Abraham all nations have been blessed.

You do know that Sumerian cities usually promoted a Guardian diety that protected the city?

Also, it is only logical that polytheism followed monotheistic thought--I doubt the people took on "many gods" all at one time, but assigned one god to the unknown. Then divided it into two or three. Then divide those into many more. In fact, if you go and check many Polytheistic beliefs, their is usally a supreme diety that is Father or Mother to all of creation. their geneology show the splits.

Also, the Flood myth, again something you can find in most religions that are centered around a river or large body of water. The Egyptians have theirs. The Sumerians have theirs. The Aztecs have theirs. The question is--is this the same flood--or different ones??(Bible borrowed theirs from the Babylonians. Where is the river??)

The Bible didn't "borrow anything." There are similarities in all because true events happened and different corrupted versions spread out just like the old telephone game we used to play as kids.

You can study all the evidence all you want, the ancient tablets confirm in so many ways from so many places the story of creation, the variations are merely different families handing it down through generations, adding their own twists as they go, just like you see happening today.

Nothing new under the sun.

But the Bible stands.

Always has.

what a crock of shit. so, does the Illiad validate the Greek Pantheon then? Of course not. But, don't let that keep you from taking the expertise of stone age post-neanderthals at mythical value.

How do you know that they are "ancient"?

Because as the cities got conquered they leveled them for the foundation of new cities. Some of the mounds are over 100 feet high and contain as many as 20 cities. They determine the stratum by various means.

it ripped it off wholesale and changed Annunaki to Addonai

She should know, she's a self-admitted whore whose friends are all barren from too many abortions.

What am I but a lowly reverend....

Oh Jb, hon, why do you try so hard to look SO bad?

Were you really a 40 year old virgin?

At least then I'd respect you, because if you didn't wait, that would make you a hypocrit.

yea.. legitimate like the flood causing the Grand Canyon! It's funny to see Jet talk about layers of strata in dating methods... only to totally rebound when the exact same logic is used to point out how the Grand Canyon REALLY came to be.
