My William Manchester signature quote is from a marvelous narrative history I just finished. I recommend 'The Glory and the Dream' to everyone. Balanced and real in a way few history books are, but too long for the modern American reader and publisher.

People who say this obviously do not read or are simply asleep. Check my threads and posts sometime. Check Taxes and Beck comments today, but please recognize I do add secondary sources unlike some.
