'An Open Letter to the White Right, On the Occasion of Your Recent, Successful Temper Tantrum'

"In forty years or so, maybe fewer, there won’t be any more white people around who actually remember that Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Opie-Taylor-Down-at-the-Fishing Hole cornpone bullshit that you hold so near and dear to your heart.

There won’t be any more white folks around who think the 1950s were the good old days, because there won’t be any more white folks around who actually remember them, and so therefore, we’ll be able to teach about them accurately and honestly, without hurting your precious feelings, or those of the so-called “greatest generation” — a bunch whose white contingent was top-heavy with ethical miscreants who helped save the world from fascism only to return home and oppose the ending of it here, by doing nothing to lift a finger on behalf of the civil rights struggle."

It's quite obvious he can't think for himself or he would have realized that all those things he claims will not be remembered is in fact already on record.

That's because you've never learned to think for yourself. You simply believe the shit that's spoonfed to you.

Another trip down memory lane?

"Washington Post/MSNBC's Robinson Plagiarizes Peter Jennings on Electorate's 'Temper Tantrum' By: Brent Baker September 05, 2010 23:13 ET

The late Peter Jennings, shortly after the Republicans took control of Congress in 1994: “Imagine a nation full of uncontrolled two-year-old rage. The voters had a temper tantrum last week.”

Washington Post Associate Editor Eugene Robinson, a frequent guest analyst on MSNBC, in his Friday column on polls showing voters will throw out Democrats, again, in November: “This isn't an ‘electoral wave,’ it's a temper tantrum.”

More Jennings from 1994: “Parenting and governing don't have to be dirty words: the nation can't be run by an angry two-year-old.”

And more from Robinson this year: “The American people are acting like a bunch of spoiled brats.”

Aren't there any new ideas on the left???

You obviously never heard of a history book.

I think I have read too much and lived too long but if you are interested in history and knowledge check this thread out. See first post too. http://www.usmessageboard.com/reviews/85148-reading-that-opens-the-mind-books.html#post1681501

My William Manchester signature quote is from a marvelous narrative history I just finished. I recommend 'The Glory and the Dream' to everyone. Balanced and real in a way few history books are, but too long for the modern American reader and publisher.

People who say this obviously do not read or are simply asleep. Check my threads and posts sometime. Check Taxes and Beck comments today, but please recognize I do add secondary sources unlike some.
