An Instant history of conservatism.

"Instant". That's the way the culturally deprived radical left wants everything including history. They are like a bunch of infants running around and shitting anyplace they want.

"Culturally deprived radicals" on both the left and the right do this.

Jesus was not a conservative. He was a radical for change. That cannot be disupted.
the conservatives of his day had him executed by the Romans.

if you use the literal definition, against change, Jesus was not a conservative, but that is an idiotic liberal pejorative that no conservative intellectual uses.

Conservative intellectuals thinks of Jesus as second after Aristotle becuase he removed the liberal Gods form earth and placed them in heaven. On earth he was a conservative revolutionary who stood for the individual as opposed to the liberal state, in this case the Roman State.

This is usually too complex for a liberal to understand, thats why they are liberal, i.e, slow.

Conservatism is a straight line from Aristotle to Jesus to Jefferson, to Friedman.

They all stood for individual freedom from the liberal state!! America is the embodiment of conservative culture, and as Reagan said, the last best hope for freedom on earth.

What liberal states were Aristotle, Jesus and Jefferson subject to? All three were the products of fairly conservative states, IMO?

why does the states they were subject to matter??????????????????????????????????????????????????? our subject was their philosophy not the states to which they were subject????????????

"Give unto Caesar" sounds pretty statist to me. I think you just made up some bullshit off the top your head without really thinking about it. BTW, using more than three of the same punctuation marks in a row is a leading indicator of a psychotic mind.

too stupid!! He said render to Caesar what is his and to God what is his. Cutting the Roman God, Ceasar, in half that way by putting him on a equal footing with the individual marked the end of liberal Gods on earth and the birth of Conservatism. Indeed the individual became king and the liberal Roman Empire died as a result!!

At his trial before Pontius Pilate, Jesus was accused of promoting resistance to Caesar's tax.

Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. And they began to accuse him, saying, "We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ/Messiah, a king." (Luke 23:1-4)

Jesus was asked the question about paying taxes in hope that he would answer "yes" or "no". Answering "yes" would have left him open to the accusation that he was in opposition to Jewish resistance to the Roman occupation and therefore (given the assumption by the Jews that they still held privileged nation status with God at this time) against God, too. Answering "no" would have given those present an opportunity to report him to the Roman authorities

Answering the way he did legitimized the state AND indicated that his kingdom was something separate. You're trying to amalgamate two different concepts and concoct something that Jesus never said.

too stupid!! Jesus challenged the power of the state and destroyed the state thus, after Aristotle, created conservatism. Christianity was about the individual, not the state!! Conservatism was Christ's revolution.

Get it now???

What state did Jesus destroy? The Roman Empire lasted for a long time afterwards. I still think you're just making things up as you go along, since none of your ideas hold up historically.

too stupid the Roman Empire had to convert to Christianity in a last ditch effort to survive!

I still think you're just making things up as you go along, since none of your ideas hold up historically.

of course if true you would not be so afraid to say which idea does not hold up!! What does your fear tell you?

What about Christianity helped it survive? Considering the emphasis on peace, it probably led to fewer enlistments in the army, thereby contributing to its demise. The only thing that kept the empire going was to use PAGAN barbarians as foederati to stave off the inevitable end brought about by "turn the other cheek" Christians!.

so you can see that the Conservative God in heaven destroyed the liberal Roman God on earth??

What liberal Roman god? Rome wasn't a liberal state. Why do you keep making things up?

Because, like most other wingers, he refuses to be confused with facts.

too stupid!! A liberal believes in more and more concentrated power!!
as did Constantine!!! and Stalin and Obama. Why did you think our liberals spied for Stalin???

See why we are positive a liberal will be slow, so very very slow.

You're a sad, sad case. We were talking about the Roman Empire and you've jumped to Stalin?!?! You haven't proven your first point. How about we settle on that before you start on another. Constantine wasn't a liberal. He was a conservative as they come.

Constantine wasn't a liberal. He was a conservative as they come.

if you use the modern commonly used definition: unlimited government, Constantine HItler Stalin Mao, Obama were very very liberal while Jefferson who wanted nothing but very very limited government was very very conservative. Now you can see why our liberals spied for Stalin and gave him the bomb while he was starving 50 million to death.

As a liberal are you too slow to know that words can have more than one meaning.

That isn't the modern commonly used definition. That's a definition you adopted to "prove" your own argument. I totally reject your premise and reiterate that you're just making things up.

too perfectly stupid and 10000% liberal!!

Republicans have introduced 30 Balanced Budget Amendments, tried to privatize health care, Social Security, and education, voted 100% against the Stimulus and ObamaCare, they sign the pledge, shut down the government, they have Ron Paul, William Buckley Jr. and Ronald Reagan, and now they want debt ceiling limit. IF all that plus universal Democratic opposition does not mean they want limited government then you are simply too stupid to be using the English language. Sorry!!

Exactly how stupid or brainwashed can one person be?????????????????????
