An Education On Government Salaries: Massachusett's State Payroll Descending

Holy crap, are ewe still stuck on that one thief?

Is that all you have? Out of all of the issues and points made, you are defending the right for some ass hole to rob our citizens because he thinks he's some kind of elitist radiologist?

Do you know how many kids can't afford to go to U Mass because of ass holes like yourself?

Do you?

It's OK, I just want to put ewe into perspective for others as well. His salary is completely outrageous, and he belongs in jail with a few hundred others on that payroll.

;)

Guess what?

You get what you pay for. You want good doctors, you have to pay good salaries. You want a good public university system, you have to pay good salaries. You want good policemen...good firemen , you aren't going to get them for slave wages, You want good teachers, you have to pay a salary to attract them from other fields.

Titanics daily rants about people making more money than he does is tiresome. His daily skreeds advocate a society that would be totally disfunctional.

I repeat:

If you want to keep going, my suggestion is to look through the list, do some research, and come back. I'm absolutely sure that if Titanic bothers to put the time in, he can find a name and job to pick out that won't make him look completely stupid once its examined.

But you won't do that. You're just looking to be outraged.

Next time you decide to grab an example out of the air, do some research into why the guy is paid what he's paid. It'll save you some grief and you might not come out of it looking like an idiot.

Once again, you will get the quality you are willing to pay for. If you want the best and the brightest in Government service you have to pay the going rate.

Keep in mind, the Government spends hundreds of billions of dollars. The decisions that are made and the checks and balances that are implemented, the organizational structures will waste billions of dollars if not done correctly. The Government has to negotiate with lawyers and contractors who are being paid top dollar to get the most government dollars they can for the least amount of work.
If a defense contractor is paying $300,000 for their lawyers and negotiators while the government is paying $75,000 the government (our side) will lose every time.

Public Universities? You want to pay $85,000 for someone with a PHD you will get the quality of a university that you deserve

Just to show you some of the damage that is being done by government, I am enclosing the link for the Massachusetts state payroll descending. Massachusetts is one of the states where the public workers do NOT pay into Social Security.

Look at the salaries. You will need to go to page 30 before you get to the folks making less than 150K a year. They also have a pension system that has been under attack for years. They get paid for the highest three years salary. In other words, their pension is not funded, they did not pay into the pension system what they get out, the taxpayer is on the hook for that debt. This is why politicians run to higher education admin positions, to boost their pensions. Is it any wonder why a college education is being denied to many?

Your tax dollars at work: 2009 State Employee Payroll - Boston Herald.com

Remember, this is just one state. Yours is just as bad if not worse. Never mind the over two million federal employees and growing. This is an enormous burden on the education of our young, and the debt of our people. While you were working, government gulped up the trough. You folks need to see data like this. The feds will not release individual salary information.

Can you post a link to where MASS. government workers are EXEMPT from FICA taxes that the rest of us pay at 12.4% of gross payroll--(employee--employer contributed?)

If this is the case--you know you're starting a revolution in this country.

Below is a list of non-federal public employee plans that do not participate in Social Security. A few plans are noted as "*Both;" they have some employees who do participate and some who do not. Florida is noteworthy as their teachers do not and the remainder of the plan's participants do. Alaska state employees and employees of some Alaska political subdivisions do not participate. Federal employees hired after 1983 participate in Social Security.

You also have about 500K federal employees still working who were hired before 1983, and so do not pay into Social Security, have their own pension you wish you had. This includes many of the senior employees and management of Social Security today, do not pay into Social Security. These are the same people who make recommendations to your Congressmen to raise your contribution rate, and they don't even pay into the system. Nice gig huh?

So does anyone really care? Federal Employees and Congress hae been in Social Security for 25 years. State Employees do not have to belong because of something called the 10th Amendment.

a lot of people care, and are shocked to learn there are Americans who are impressed into Social Security, and there are millions of "mostly Democrats" who are absolved from contributing to SS. Think there would be any shortfall today if they had been contributing? Or if Democrat Lyndon Johnson didn't allow government to borrow from it?

We are all Americans, so adios pensions, and get on SS like the rest of us lucky bastards..............

That's how you fix SS, everyone on the same page and see how ewe like it.

Hey look, college kids protesting being denied a right to an education, and university professors salaries stay in the hundreds of thousands. Who knew?

What a shocker this could happen............
