According to Dan Briody, who wrote a book on the subject, the company became part of a consortium of four companies that built about eighty-five per cent of the infrastructure needed by the Army during the Vietnam War. At the height of the war resistance movement of the '60s, Brown & Root was derided as "Burn & Loot" by protesters and soldiers.
If this is true about their history in profiteering in Vietnam, then its the same Ol Boy network at play here in our Iraq War, and the same old Mode of Operation, again a pattern.
Today I watched Rumsfelds War a Frontline series, on PBS. The same players in Vietnam are the same Bunch of old guys in the Administration now, including the Vice President, he was brought in by Rummy based on a memo Chenney wrote
Sometimes when you have friends in High places, justice is not always served.
