Americans Still Blame Bush More Than Obama for Bad Economy

And I fail to understand why that is relevant......

If a pollster asked me who I thought was basically responsible for the recession, [knowing full well that we tend to rely on perception rather than pure facts], I would say Bush.

Now if that same pollster asked who was responsible for NOT FIXING the economy as he promised, the answer is clearly Obama.

Except for the truly insane far left who consider this question of utmost importance and a signal that Obama will win in a landslide, the majority of this country knows Bush isn't on the ticket. The majority understands the difference between then and now.

The majority will not tolerate Reaganomics again, either, or neo-con adventurism.

I am very happy that Romney knows that and won't follow in Reagan or Bush footsteps.

I am not so sure about that. Look for the same old bunch that were with Reagan, BushI and Bush II in DC if Mitt wins.

What is Especially funny about you Lefties is out one side of your Mouth you say Bush Almost on his Own Destroyed the Economy, then out the Other side of your Mouth you tell us that Obama can't really do anything to fix it.

I got News for you, Bush Never had the Majorities Obama had his First 2 Years. Democrats have Controlled Congress all or in Part since 2007 People.

Which is it, Does the President have the Power to Effect the Fucking Economy or not? Or are we to believe that Republicans Can, But Democrats can't? Even with the Largest Majorities any Party had seen in Decades?

lol

How many bills did Bush veto before 2006?
Who controlled congress before then?

What is the difference between Bush economic policies and Romney's economic policies. Nicole Wallace couldn't name anything different and neither could Michael Steele. Both said we simply shouldn't talk about it.

Because as we saw with Obamalama even getting elected in 2008, many people believe slogans and propaganda.. especially when they want something for free at the expense of others and that is also promised to them

Look you Village Idiots, when Bush left office he did not take the trillion dollar deficit with him. Did not fix what the economy that he broke. He left it to Obama and we did not know it was as bad as it war. Two war not paid for that continued when he left. Jobs left that did not come back and Obama is bringing the back. The effect of Bush will be felt for decades and is felt in other countries. He almost destroyed us and the world. Obama is doing the best he can with what congress will give him. A president is only as good as his congress. and this congress put up road block as every turn. Their priority from day one was to make sure Obama fails so they can get back in charge. But Obama in not failing and it's their worse nightmare.
We will blame Bush as long as the effects of his screw ups are felt.
If you move into a house that has been trashed, it is not cleaned up in a day. If you wreck a car, it takes time and money to fix it. Obama got the car out of the ditch but he has not had to money to fix it because of GOP tax cuts for millionaires like Romney.
Obama did not create this mess.

Americans blamed Hoover for years after he left office.
Perhaps the best method for Republicans to have erased the stigma of Bush and the recession would have been for Republicans to have worked with the Democrats to help America recover? But we can all see the problem with that, if America had recovered completely under Obama, Democrats would have been elected for some years to come.
No, it was best for Republicans to help destroy the economy under Obama and point out his failure. The Republicans had no choice but to keep the nation from recovering.

Here is a poll question for you leftists:

Is Barack Obama responsible for ANYTHING "bad" that has happened since he took office in January of 2009? Or is everything still Bush's fault?

What so few of you get is that the reason we are in this recession is due to multiple causes. Bush alone was not at fault, just as Obama is not at fault for not fixing the economy. One person alone can't fix shit. Even with cooperation between the parties, there just is no quick fix. We have some serious issues that need to be addressed.

While we can blame Bush for pushing for tax cuts that led us to a big increase in the deficit, the housing bubble was not Bush's fault. That being said, his push for extra tax cuts did lead many people to dump their money into real estate which helped to create the bubble. Without the housing market bubble, we would have been in recession following 9/11, and it would have been extensive as it is now. The housing bubble just delayed what was to come.

This is pretty much it.

It’s idiocy to blame either president for the recession.

And it’s greater idiocy to blame Obama for not ‘fixing’ it.

Obama spends more tax money that he takes in.

It's all going to interest.

He should have stepped in the Oval Office, looked at THIS country's fiscal situation and taken steps to cut out-of-control spending.

Instead, he's out to put a cadillac in every welfare recipient's 2-car garage, I-phones with the nearest Abortion Clinic, Welfare Office, ACLU, Attack Watch Snitch Line, and Free Scholarships for Foreigners on Speed Dial for Obama's Kids, plus quick access to DNC Talking Points page, the Daily Kos, and MSNBC's Chris Matthews Tingling Leg Show.

Instead of thanking taxpayers for their support, he is making people feel like the Government is the issuer of all good things, just like what happened in Russia after 1917. You shut up and obeyed or they starved your village or murdered people outright.

I hope that doesn't happen here, but what socialists don't tell you is that when the gravy train runs out of goods, there isn't any more, get in line and wait. Wait an hour. Wait two hours. Wait all day.

Then take their advice and stfu troll.

The sun damages your kind. Better crawl back under that rock. It's a "warm day".

Amazing, isn't it? It leads one to think there's no difference.

Americans Still Blame Bush More Than Obama for Bad Economy

About half of Republicans blame Bush
by Frank Newport
PRINCETON, NJ -- Americans continue to place more blame for the nation's economic problems on George W. Bush than on Barack Obama, even though Bush left office more than three years ago. The relative economic blame given to Bush versus Obama today is virtually the same as it was last September.

Well then..........Obama should win in a walk this November!!!:D

Absolutely...
Should Pubs be rewarded for putting us in this mess (WORLD DEPRESSION and dumbazz wars, huge growth of AlQaeda), and now paralyzing the gov't since 2/2010 (and they even lie about THAT)?

"No compromise, un-American Tea Party GOP" (TIME).

Why in the world do you vote for these disastrous, lying incompetents?

Obama tripled the mess. He is not qualified to do what Presidents do--take care of the country. Instead of taking care of America, he's only taking care of a handful of people who back him and calling his political opponents "enemies." And if they say anything to oppose his political view, he calls them "racists." And when they tell him they're not racists, he puts them on Attack Watch.
