Americans have Health Care thanks to Obamacare

and the freeloaders will be paying for it like everyone else.

No they won't, asshole. The whole point of Obamacare is to give more freeloaders access to healthcare at taxpayer expense.

the mandate is for the freeloaders to choose.

:eusa_whistle:

dont you think if someone could afford the insurance before they would have bought it. then obama is going to penalize them for not being able to afford it. guess what they wont be able to afford the tax either.

Yep, Americans have health insurance, at least some do, what about the 30 million or roughly 10% that Maobamacare won't cover. So how about admitting that your statement is not fully factual.

Liberal Logic 101. Penalize people who can't pay the penalty and then say we won't enforce it anyway.

How about 10,000,000 added to the system and not enough doctors graduating to replace those retiring or leaving.

That's Obama efficiency!

If they choose not to have health insurance and put a burden on the rest of us?

They can pay the shared responsibility payment (mandated payment/penalty/tax) if they so choose.

Americans have Health Care thanks to Obamacare

thank you

Um no they don't. Most of us just end up with a choice between a 800 Dollar tax we cant afford, or a 5000 Dollar Policy we cant afford.

Nobody is giving me Free Health care, or even Cheaper Health care, they are just making it law I buy it.

You are an idiot.

I had it before Obamacare and it cost less....so I say Fuck you

You mean...your employer was babysitting you....and, providing your health-care, right??

"As Congressional budget battles heat up—or roll along, depending on your time perspective—the cost of health care in America receives a lot of attention. Unfortunately most of the discussion is largely off the mark about where the preventable, unnecessary costs really are.

But the thing that few people talk about, and that no serious policy proposal attempts to fix—the arrangement that accounts for much of the difference between health spending in the U.S. and other places—is the enormous administrative overhead costs that come from lodging health-care reimbursement in the hands of insurance companies that have no incentive to perform their role efficiently as payment intermediaries.

More than 20 years ago, two Harvard professors published an article in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine showing that health-care administration cost somewhere between 19 percent and 24 percent of total spending on health care and that this administrative burden helped explain why health care costs so much in the U.S. compared, for instance, with Canada or the United Kingdom.

Unless and until we as a society pay attention to the enormous costs and the time wasted by the current administrative arrangements, we will continue to pay much too much for health care."

Americans have Health Care thanks to Obamacare

thank you

I had it long before Obamacare as did millions of other's and there are still millions who don't despite Obamacare so I really feel no need to say thank you for a over hyped over priced massive piece of legislation that had to be passed before we could find out what was in it. I also don't recall many Democrats running on the passing of Obamacare in 2012 including Obama.

Americans have Health Care thanks to Obamacare

thank you

98.3% of Americans that wanted health care had it already!
10 million non citizens counted by Obama as uninsured NOT citizens!
14 million are covered already by Medicaid.. but Obama's lie counts them!
18 million who don't WANT health insurance and pay their own health expenses are falsely counted as "uninsured'.

Thus there are only 4 million that truly need and want coverage!

But Obama is destroying health care for ALL of us just because he prefer's single payer!
Well 98.3% of Americans that want coverage already have coverage!

But no thanks to Obamacare much of the private insurance insured are seeing their rates SKYROCKET due to Obamacare's stupidity!

Case in point. Smokers as we all know are most likely to have cancer and cancer requires treatments. Treatments mean claims.
So historically insurance companies ask if you smoke which means higher premiums.

BUT under Obamacare no longer can a person be charged more as a smoker. NOW every one pays a higher rate because....
the companies don't know who smokes and will have higher claims then those that don't smoke!

Folks it is THAT SIMPLE! Now everyone's rates are climbing just so smokers won't be charged more even though they'll be filing more claims!
So thanks to Obamacare those of us that don't smoke are subsidizing those that do smoke when it comes to premiums!

Idiot !
Why don't you read the financial statements by insurance companies as they are bound by law to report exactly what their operating expenses are and if they
falsify they go to jail!

It is HOW MUCH of the premiums are paid out in CLAIMS IDiOT!!!!

What is the percentage of premiums PAID out in claims for the following major companies? 80%!!!
The real financial facts are insurance companies annually, every year pay out 80% to the providers of the premiums they receive and this comes from their financial reports that if they lie they go to jail!

NOW you are such a f..king idiot I have to explain in 6th grader terms.

Insurance companies get premiums and from the premiums they pay claims.
Claims for services of which the people that perform the services i.e. doctors,etc.. say the following:
1,231 physicians...(90%) Ninety percent of physicians surveyed said:
In a recent Gallup survey, physicians attributed 34 percent of overall healthcare costs to defensive medicine and 21 percent of their practice to be defensive in nature. Specifically, they estimated that 35 percent of diagnostic tests, 29 percent of lab tests, 19 percent of hospitalizations, 14 percent of prescriptions, and 8 percent of surgeries were performed to avoid lawsuits.

Liability reform has been estimated to result in anywhere from a 5 percent to a 34 percent reduction in medical expenditures by reducing defensive medicine practices, with estimates of savings from $54 billion to $650 billion.
The costs of defensive medicine

So insurance companies pay these claims and after subtracting the claims average (81%) from premiums they have 19% left over.
WOW... The health insurance industry averaged in 2008 net profits was 4.6%
So the real administration,etc. comes out to about 14%!
AND THOSE EVIL 4.6% profits... by the way are BEFORE FEDERAL TAXES on net income and on the dividends that 401ks, pension funds get!
URL="http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2009/performers/industries/profits/"]http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2009/performers/industries/profits/[/URL]

Top industries: Most profitable 2008 Profits as % of Revenues
  1. 1 Network and Other Communications Equipment 20.4%
  2. 2 Internet Services and Retailing 19.4
  3. 3 Pharmaceuticals 19.3
  4. 4 Medical Products and Equipment 16.3
  5. 5 Railroads 12.6
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
22 Insurance: Life, Health (stock) 4.6%
So get your facts straight insurance companies have a net operating of premiums of 15% and net profit of 4.6% AND CLAIMS 81% adds up to 100%
But idiots like you have NO concept of the "FACTS!!!
Moyers/Potter
WENDELL POTTER: The industry doesn't want to have any competitor. In fact, over the course of the last few years, has been shrinking the number of competitors through a lot of acquisitions and mergers. So first of all, they don't want any more competition period. They certainly don't want it from a government plan that might be operating more efficiently than they are, that they operate. The Medicare program that we have here is a government-run program that has administrative expenses that are like three percent or so.
BILL MOYERS: Compared to the industry's--
WENDELL POTTER: They spend about 20 cents of every premium dollar on overhead, which is administrative expense or profit. So they don't want to compete against a more efficient competitor.
