New WSJ/NBC poll shows an electorate getting increasingly angry over the direction of the nation, and gearing up for a major ResetElection in November 2010...
____

Confidence Waning in Obama, U.S. Outlook

Americans are more pessimistic about the state of the country and less confident in President Barack Obama's leadership than at any point since Mr. Obama entered the White House, according to a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll.

The survey also shows grave and growing concerns about the Gulf oil spill, with overwhelming majorities of adults favoring stronger regulation of the oil industry and believing that the spill will affect the nation's economy and environment.

Sixty-two percent of adults in the survey feel the country is on the wrong track, the highest level since before the 2008 election. Just one-third think the economy will get better over the next year, a 7-point drop from a month ago and the low point of Mr. Obama's tenure.

Amid anxiety over the nation's course, support for Mr. Obama and other incumbents is eroding. For the first time, more people disapprove of Mr. Obama's job performance than approve. And 57% of voters would prefer to elect a new person to Congress than re-elect their local representatives, the highest share in 18 years.

...Support for Mr. Obama and his party is declining among centrist, independent voters. But, more ominous for the president, some in his base also are souring, with 17% of Democrats disapproving of Mr. Obama's job performance, the highest level of his presidency.

This quote pretty much sums it up...

"As a Democrat and as a woman, I am disappointed in him," said poll respondent Melissa Riner, a 42-year-old law clerk from Mesa, Ariz. Referring to the oil spill, Ms. Riner added, "I don't think he's handling it. He doesn't seem to be doing anything. He just talks."

Agreed - the economy continues to remain stagnant - particularly in regards to real job creation. More and more business leaders are crying foul over the Obama administration's seeming war on American business.

As for the oil spill, the overwhelming feedback has been that while he could do little for the leak, Obama's week after week indifference regarding the cleanup effort has really struck a nerve with folks, and as the oil continues to spread and wash up on the shores, this perception is getting even worse. Obama wines n dines, golfs, fundraises, but so little actual effort in protecting the shoreline. And when his Oval Office speech consisted of a strong plea for passage of a climate bill, well, that even left some environmentalists shaking their head at the overt politicization of a national emergency - one of the primary faults they complained about Bush Jr and the War on Terror.

Obama is not only getting "on the job training" but he appears to lack the interest, or the intellectual capacity - to fully comprehend this training, and America is suffering terribly because of it...

If you haven't noticed, Americans are always pissed and there is always an impending revolution at hand ...

Anything new?

The oil spill? Obama?

I guess he will have to swim down there and just bite the pipe shut.

17 nations have offered help, has he accepted help? he wants desperatly to put 80,000 more people out of work. ,, he's a total asswipeian failure on all counts.

LOL Sinatra bro...........now we got 3 threads up on this!!! Hey......the more the merrier!!!

Who knew this year would end up being such a fcukking hoot watching this bozo president slip slowly into the shi!tter???! Who knew??!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its become more fun than watching an episode of The Three Stooges with Curly beating the piss out of himself!!!

The election of Barak Obama is going to be forever seen as THE definition of The Peter Principle..........an apt analogy being taking some guy who has excelled in go-kart racing and putting him in charge of a NASCAR team. Its fcukkin hysterical.

When are independents going to learn that you dont vote for a president who never ran anything in their lives..........as if intelligence alone were all you needed to be succesful? Thats what the k00ks dont get........but most of them dont own anything and have never managed an operation. Its the height of fcukking naive...............but unfortunately its our children that are ending up holding this 100 pound bag of dog doo for the rest of their lives.

According to this article from mid-June, yes:

In the past week, the United States submitted its second request to the European Union for any specialized equipment to contain the oil now seeping onto the Gulf of Mexico's marshes and beaches, and it accepted Canada's offer of 9,842 feet of boom. The government is soliciting additional boom and skimmers from nearly two dozen countries and international organizations.

In late May, the administration accepted Mexico's offer of two skimmers and 13,779 feet of boom; a Dutch offer of three sets of Koseq sweeping arms, which attach to the sides of ships and gather oil; and eight skimming systems offered by Norway.

"As we understand what we need and identify domestic and foreign sources, we will act," said State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley, who said the United States has received 21 aid offers from 17 countries and four international groups. "We are maintaining contact with these countries, we are grateful for the offers, and we will take them up on these offers."

This phenomenon does not exist outside of your head... And the right wing punditry.

Yeah....that's what's needed....input from a law clerk....regarding an engineering-issue.

The Obama regime has shown utter incompetence at every level. They're now shutting down cleanup efforts because they're arguing over where the sand should come from. They've fraudulently doctored a report to support their own political agenda with regards to drilling... what a joke.

Ahhh... November is going to be DISATEROUS for the Dems.
