Some of you may be interested in a book I just finished reading entitled American by Chris Matthews. I know Chris Matthews??????? Chris does not spread his usual leftist propaganda in this book (well, maybe just a teensy bit). The main idea for his book is what makes Americans unique and great. He selects a movie (The Great Gatsby, The Searchers, Casablanca, etc.), a great American writer, a great person from history, etc. to illustrate each of his chapters and the point he is making in that particular chapter. Its a small book (just over 200 pages), interesting format and topic, well written, and easy to read. What more can you ask?
