American XL bully dog will be banned, says Rishi Sunak

Following a spate of incidents this will now happen. Not before time. There is no need for fighting dogs in civilised society.

One problem they have is that they are not recognised as a breed. I am sure tha can be overcome though it will tax the average stupid tory.

Here in the States, many politicians are afraid to ban dangerous breeds.

Hence, people will continue to be bitten or mauled or even killed by dogs that are roaming the streets because of the simply irresponsible and loathsome characters who own them.

I had one, a puppy gift from someone who thought it was a labrador. Raise them like normal dogs and they are just normal bow wows (who unfortunately can climb over the fence like a marine running the obstacle course).

There is no such thing as a dangerous breed. Just owners who are too lazy or have no knowledge of how to train a dog. More people get bit by small dogs than big ones. Punish the owner not the dog.

That's only a problem in places run by people like you, which decent Americans steer clear of.

Come to think of it, the places where attacks by dangerous dogs are common are also run by people like you.

Any dog big enough to kill a child can be trained to kill children ... and the breed of choice here is the Pit Bull ... though Rotties and Dobies are good choices as well ... if you want a "sleeper", then get a Chow or Husky ... these breeds look like teddy bears and children love to hug and pet them ... makes them easier prey ... your insurance company should have a list of the best breeds to train to be killers ...

Chihuahuas are far more likely to bite than a Pit Bull. Like any dog, Pit Bulls can be trained to aggression or neglected to aggression. Sometimes a dog attack is really a blunder by a stupid human.
