Yes, it matters. The corrections department has to take over the medical bills. If the guy is terminal or otherwise entirely incapacitated why would they become his Obamacare for nothing?

We can hope....

Totally agree if he is guilty but I have to keep in mind the fact that he is an "influential and wealthy" businessman, which would make him a target to some scums who want to extort money from people. It's a really tough call because my instincts naturally go to protecting the child, but we've all heard of these false accusations made over money or revenge or whatnot.
