They don't want anyone to remember that OBAMA gave the banks the bailouts to the tune of trillions of dollars AND wants to give MORE.
Yet having the democrats linked with the protesters is too good to pass up.
Baby Bush signed TARP, idiota.
Oh please -this was a bill passed by both houses of the Democrat controlled Congress and a bill Bush was URGED to sign. Both Democrats and most Republicans believed the alternative was far worse.
TARP was and is still a Democrat created and Democrat supported bill, one STILL supported by Obama and one that Obama's Treasury Secretary also still supports. In reality the entire financial crisis can be boiled down to the fault of our own government and some of the most recent instrumental players in it were Chris Dodd and Barney Franks who threatened banks unless they gave BILLIONS in loans to poor people without regard to their ability to pay off the loan. It was a house of cards doomed to collapse affecting both the US housing market and US banks, but because those banks did international business, ended up affecting the banking industry around the world. It was a disaster in the making that Bush repeatedly asked the Democrat controlled Congress to FIX but they turned a deaf ear. I think Bush should have made a MUCH more public stink about it and I lay a lot of blame on him for failing to do so instead of keeping his comments confined to Congress. Ever seen the video of banking regulators testifying before the House Financial Services committee when they tried to convince them this was a disaster in the making and nearly at the point of no return where preventing catastrophe was going to be impossible? Its on YouTube -they tried to warn the committee about the impending collapse and the Democrats on that committee promptly went into "kill the messenger" mode. The regulators -forbidden BY this committee from even being able to do their jobs were then verbally and repeatedly insulted, attacked and threatened by Franks and the likes of that true "financial genius" Maxine Waters.
So what do you really think you gain by commenting that Bush signed it when everyone with half a brain knows the origins of TARP and what led to it in the first place -can be laid nearly entirely at the feet of Democrats?
