American Nazi Party comes out in support of OWS.

I clicked on this thread to read interesting rebuttals from the left and their opinion on why the Nazi Party is backing OWS.

Instead I heard crickets.

Afterall, the NAZI acronym stands for, originally, the National SOCIALST Party of Germany. There was another one, a big bad country, which used the "United SOCIALST States" of something, I cant remember what it was (USSR) but I recall them being a loving, thriving, generous, peaceful nation that enjoyed communal wealth, food, shelter and happiness!!!!!

This is entirely incidental to the thread, but...

The adoption of the word "socialist" by the Nazis and the USSR is no more an indictment than, say, Kim Jong-il's "Democratic People’s Republic of Korea" an indictment of democracy or republicanism.

Hmmm. Maybe, kinda like the KKK adopting "Christian" despite going against that religions teachings.

I believe socialism is kinda like cancer. It can be benign, like Norway or Sweden. Or malignant, like the USSR or Cuba.

I'd just rather not have cancer.

They don't want anyone to remember that OBAMA gave the banks the bailouts to the tune of trillions of dollars AND wants to give MORE.

Yet having the democrats linked with the protesters is too good to pass up.

Baby Bush signed TARP, idiota.

And after TARP?

787 BILLION dollar stimulus. Not Bush. Obama.

The NEW stimulus will be 900 BILLION.

Can you blame Bush for that one too.

Obama warns of need for stimulus bill right away

Just so you know fascism is an offshoot of socialism.

Adolf learned real quick that socialism does not work.

Bank Bailout Returns 8.2% Beating Treasury Yields
By Yalman Onaran and Alexis Leondis - Oct 20, 2010 10:55 AM ET

The government has earned $25.2 billion on its investment of $309 billion in banks and insurance companies, an 8.2 percent return over two years, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.

The U.S. government’s bailout of financial firms through the Troubled Asset Relief Program provided taxpayers with higher returns than yields paid on 30- year Treasury bonds -- enough money to fund the Securities and Exchange Commission for the next two decades.

That beat U.S. Treasuries, high-yield savings accounts, money- market funds and certificates of deposit. Investing in the stock market or gold would have paid off better.

Adolf was openly hostile to socialism. The two are ideological opposites.

But do keep trying to square the circle.

How aren't they? Fascism is authoritarian and totalitarian control by a single-party state; where communism advocates common control of production by the people (hence the root word "community").

Please don't tell me that you believe the people have been in control in any Communist run countries...USSR, China, Cuba??

Technically speaking, I'm not aware that Communism has ever been practiced to it's full ideological end.

Which in no way impeaches what I've just said...

Still holding out hope for some sort of Communist Utopia then.
