Have to laugh at all the idiots in here that regurgitate the lap dog MSM hate Trump talking points, especially the one that the jug earred Kenyan is responsible..LOLOLOL!

American manufacturers are on a roll: Business conditions surged in August to a 14-year high, according to a a survey of industry executives.

The Institute for Supply Management said its manufacturing index jumped to a 14-year high of 61.3% last month from 58.1% in July. Economists surveyed by MarketWatch had forecast the index to total 57.9%.

Readings over 50% indicate more companies are expanding instead of shrinking.......The economy is firing on almost all cylinders.

This, compared to the shovel ready job’s that weren’t.

This is how those promised jobs turned out during obama's administration:

Most Americans unaware that as U.S. manufacturing jobs have disappeared, output has grown

Surprising the number of people that don't understand that while manufacturing has grown, the number of manufacturing jobs have fallen.

They just can't figure out why even after it's been explained ad nauseum.

The epic mistake about manufacturing that’s cost Americans millions of jobs

Yes, the US had hemorrhaged manufacturing jobs, losing close to 5 million of them since 2000. Trade may have been a factor—but it clearly wasn’t the main culprit. Automation was. Robots and fancy machines had supplanted workers, turning the US into a manufacturing dynamo at the cutting edge of innovation.

You can lead a Republican to knowledge, but you just can't make them learn.

    Which words were those?

When he said he took the stock market from 7,000 to 20,000, which of course he did.

Or when he took unemployment from 10% to 5%, which he did.

Or when we had years of economic growth, which we did.

    The ISM is VERY overrated.

United States ISM Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) | 1948-2018 | Data

Check out the last time the index was over 60? And boy oh boy...was there ever a huge BOOM after early 2011...not.

The index means little. It IS better to be up than down. But it means little towards the overall economy.
Plus, manufacturing is a very small portion of the overall American economy (about 19%). As it is in ALL advanced, modern economies.

I realize many/most Trumpbots long for the 'glory' days of the 1950's...but those days are gone forever. Automation will eventually take over most manufacturing...and I for one cannot wait for that day to arrive.

The best thing Trump can do is not run fro re-election and let someone else deal with the recession.
