She was inspiring. She was dedicated. She worked tirelessly to make sure that the heroes of United 93 were not forgotten.

What a woman!

The widow of the captain of doomed 9/11 flight United 93 has died after a decade of tireless work for those who perished on September 11, 2001.

Passing away in her sleep at her home in Jefferson County, Colorado, Sandy Dahl, 52, had become the unofficial champion for the memories of all on board United Airlines flight 93 which crashed down in a field near Shanksville, Pennslyvania.

Making numerous public appearances in the almost 11 years since the events of 9/11, Dahl supported the establishment of a permanent memorial to the victims of the fourth hijacked plane, making sure they were not forgotten.
