American Healthcare System: Actually, Most People Hate It

Then why are you asking government to keep them out?
Lol protecting the border does not mean big government lol hahahah

hahahah, yes it does, hahahah.
Border patrol makes up 0.7% of the government lol

You want government to protect you from unwanted competition, to ensure you can making a living wage regardless. It doesn't get much more "progressive" than that.

hahahah.
Hell yea! Progress for Americans! I love being a progressive

That idea is as funny as the idea that we have free markets or capitalism.

What does this mean to you? Are you opposed to economic freedom? I'm not clear what you're getting at.

I'm going to live in a real world.

We don’t need them we can dispose of them like we used to

Wasting my time.

Republicans love to shoot down the idea of Medicare For All because it takes away the freedom of consumers to shop around and choose the health insurance that best fits their needs. Let’s ignore for the moment that M4A would suit just about everyone’s needs better than just about any private plan available at less cost. Instead, let’s look at how much Americans value the freedom to shop around.

Short answer: Not at all. In fact, they pretty much hate it.

40% of Americans Would Rather Clean Up Dog Poop Than Shop For Health Insurance

The worst healthcare system in the world.

Several obvious holes in your message, here. Number one, that poll was taken in the context of the existing healthcare system. If you can be troubled to undergo the intellectual strain of trying to remember something that wasn't in the news in the past 72 hours, the current healthcare system was actually passed by the democrats, exclusively, when their closed-door process culminated in a vote that came down almost perfectly along party lines. Implying that the current system, and therefore the particular insurance shopping process therein, are the preference of the republicans, is misleading AF.

You also seem to be implying a strawman argument here, framing this conversation as though the only choices are the ACA or Medicare for all. There have been plenty of suggestions from folks on the right, for years now, on how to fix issues that we had with the pre-ACA healthcare system that didn't involve a government takeover of the medical industry, and there continue to be such suggestions. The fact that you don't care to hear them doesn't nullify their existence.

Lastly, how about let's NOT ignore your claim that M4A would suit just about everyone's needs better than just about any private plan. Seems to me that's a pretty contentious claim. Why would anyone want to come to a conclusion on this matter without considering that most people prefer their private plan to going on medicare? What makes your opinion on the matter so much more valid than the opinions of the people who'd actually lose those private plans and get shuffled into a one-size-fits-all system, that we should ignore that part of the conversation completely? Correct me if I'm mistaken, but that seems like a MAJOR cop out.

Only those who can afford good healthcare coverage don't want Medicare for all. Those of us who have worked very low wage paying jobs most our lives without benefits or crappy benefits that cover practically nothing think Medicare for all would be better than what we have been getting most of our adult lives.

Nah. Some people are capable of seeing past the end of their nose - ie they don't see every political issue from the perspective of personal benefit. In fact, democracy doesn't really work when people look at things from such a self-centered perspective.

Research all nations health care programs, once you have found what you consider the very best health care system in the world, you move there and enjoy its greatness...oh yeah, don't forget that there is months of waiting for important health care in socialist nations and folks die waiting. I spoke with a British ex-pat who had moved out of England, the reason, the health care system sucked.
I suppose if you want to vote for some socialist candidate to implement things you want, you could vote for "Bread lines are good," Bernie. His reasoning on that....no one goes hungry if there are bread lines...…..wrong. According to people that lived under that type of government, "if you didn't get in the bread lines very early, there was no bread by the time you got to the head of the line."
I recently had a burst appendix and after three nights, the total for my health care was...$47,000+. My health insurance covered all but approximately $1,500. No problem. Most Americans would rather play video games than shop for health insurance, or grocery shop, or hike, or fill out any forms, or work in retail, or deal with in-laws, or take a bus.....et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. The poll means nothing, except most Americans can be lazy about things that don't entertain them, especially the younger ones. The younger people today, have been coddled since childhood. The crap started with being told that "everyone" gets a trophy when they play T-ball or other junior sport..."for there are no losers." They've been told since being toddlers that "they are special" and given things left and right. Their parents gifted them with cellphones, paid for all their needs helped them get through college and when handed idiotic degrees from such lunacy as "gender studies," wonder why they couldn't get jobs, when they entered into the real world. So, there they are, sipping lattes and texting, and complaining that everything isn't handed to them on a platter. Their idea of fairness....give everybody on the planet that wants something, be given it. Health coverage...They must have it given to them...free. Food...that's necessary for life, have it given to them....free. A place to live....important for survival...they should have it for free. Everything should be free! Trouble with that is....it isn't free; none of it is. Young people today think that if someone makes more money in their labor than they do, then that person should give them that money the other person worked for. Problem is, that other person is the one who actually earned it. The others are just the equivalent of bloodsuckers.
Millions of people fled military juntas, dictatorships, religious persecution and yes, Leninism and Marxism, for the dream of individual liberty/freedom and the opportunity to find their own path in life, their own dreams, without a huge government lording over them.
So, if the way of life here sucks for you, find something better and go there and after say, ten years there, come back and then do your bragging.
