American Foreign Policy hurts us.

What do you except when we lead by force rather than by example. Pretty soon this paradigm is going to crash on us.

It hurts the nation to some extent, but it hurts the citizens of this nation in wildly diifferent ways.

Some people benefit tremendously from Empire, ya know.

That is why it has so many supporters both in and out of government.

I often wonder of those complaining and voting against foreign aid and foreign policies. Could they not be more obvious in their disconnect? There are families overseas for some of us. There are interests, investments, roots and such for all of us, surely, yet not all of us recognize it to be so. It is complex and no it isn't comfortable, but to disconnect America even from her supposed rivals and enemies seems to be a horrid idea.

Yeah gotta disagree, having tens of thousands of troops in Bolivia, Japan, Germany, Vietnam, etc makes perfect sense to any rational person and I'm privileged that so many billions of our tax dollars go to something of such high importance.......................................................................................................................
